If a guy stops by your house just to say hi when he couldnt hang out for the whole night is that his way of showing he is pretty interested?

I had asked him to hang out last night after work but he had plans already. He surprised me by stopping at my place to say hi and chat for a bit. Does that mean he felt bad not being able to hang out? He said he just wanted to see me even if it was just for a bit. We have been on 4 dates so far so it is pretty early on.

Yes, I don't think he would've stopped by at all if he wasn't interested. I'm guessing he was trying to make up for being busy and wanted to see you, like he said. Good sign!

He is a bit older than me too so that made it mean so much more. He just sat and chatted with me for about a half hour till he had to get going.
