Boyfriend left me on "read" but is active on social media?

He's been acting strangely since last night with texting. He usually texts me after he gets home from work to let me know he's safe, but he didn't do that and blamed it on a migraine that he had - so I just said goodnight and that was that. This morning he didn't text me until noon... which is incredibly unusual for him, but he just went to get his hair cut and beard trimmed, which is all fine and dandy, except something just feels off. Very off. I replied to his text message, replied to his Snapchats, but he left them both opened/read without responding.

I'm giving him time to respond, work may be busy, but that has never been an issue before which is why I feel strangely about this. I worry about small things, but he doesn't know that. The thing is he has no problem adding to his Snapchat story and no problem updating his Facebook status.


I'm leaving with him for a weekend trip tomorrow night and this has got me wanting to cancel and tell him to go himself. Maybe I'm being super dramatic but something doesn't feel right. I could ask him, but I don't want to stress him out. Sigh.

Don't do anything drastic until you know what's going on. I've made that mistake myself a few times and regret it. But I had a girlfriend like this before, assumptions were made and it didn't go over well.

Basic answer, I was really busy.

Maybe he is busy? When he comes home just ask him, why it takes so long for him to answer. Maybe something happened.

I don't live with him and I won't be seeing him until tomorrow night. Trying really hard to maintain composure and not text him an angry message.

Don't make any repulsive/spontaneous decisions. Don't text angry/frustrated messages at night. Do it at morning when you are calmed down. It will also help you to get your thoughts together. (Forgot to mention, if you relationship is close to 3 years or more, than it might be a red flag)

Nah, we've been seeing each other for 3 months. It's weird b/c he's usually way more active in texting me. Today we've hard spoken. I guess I rely on texting a lot, which I shouldn't, but it's hard not to.

Hmm, I am not sure. I am a slightly bit paranoid myself, so I can understand exactly how you are feeling right now.
Anyway, did you try calling him?
