So today, I got my hair done
I've gone brownish-blonde (Im Asian so I used to have full black hair)
I posted new pictures of me with my new hair on facebook, instagram, snapchat
And I still have my ex boyfriend on my social media
Then out of nowhere he messaged me saying "wow, you look so good with that hair"
And I said "oh thanks"
Then he said "so I booked our tickets to the new movie next week, you better not cancel on me lol"
We broke up 1 month ago - he broke it off by the way , because we fight too much and he wasn't happy anymore and thought we weren't compatible
So anyway, since we didn't break up in bad terms, we still remained in contact - he's always the one initiating the messages and going out to the cinema/dinner
I've never initiated anything
He invites me to go movies nearly every week.. so I see him nearly every week
But anyway, does it mean anything if my ex boyfriend compliments me?

Complimenting you on its own is not something to worry about. I would say he's more of trying to make up for the relationship gone bad by taking you out all the time, or he's finding it hard to actually go to friend status with you.

Does he keep you at arm's length rest of the week? so he gets the relationship without the fighting that you said was the reason he broke it off. (by doing this he's locking you up keeping you from finding someone else) I assume you aren't sleeping with him on the weekend excursions?

maintaining contact with your ex in this way is unhealthy, ask any therapist... you are only serving to hurt yourself in the long run. Don't claim to know the male mind better than a man... sex is always on the menu when it comes to contacting an ex. ALWAYS. Really ask yourself, what is the point in cultivating this relationship further? Are you going to get back together? If the answer is no, (and it probably is, seeing as you broke up in the first place) find a better way to spend your time. You are living in the past.
