Is it weird that I love my jealous possessive boyfriend?

I am 23 and It’s been 8 months since I was dating this wonderful guy. We understand each other a lot, our sex life is very fantastic, and we never argued. He tell me that I’m the best thing that happened in his life and I think the same thing. And he asked me to marry him a week ago. The only thing is that my friends and my family hates him, because they think he’s too possessive. He call me every hours to be sure if I’m okay, he even punched a guy in the face because he asked for my number, but.. I love this. We even have the kink of leaving some hickeys on each others body, and I couldn’t help but find cute the way he graped my ass before kissing me in front of a girl because she was flirting with him, or when he gently button my shirt because he doesn’t want other men to stare at the beginning of my boobs. But my friends think that a guy like that is not normal and that’s it’s an unhealthy relationship. Is something truly wrong with me because I love how possessive and jealous he is?

Hate to break it to you but that's not jealousy it's controlling manipulative behavior. Learn to tell the difference between the two. and if he's that controlling and has those kind of mental issues then what will happen when you two get into a major argument will he hit you and be physically abusive because the tendencies he's showing now dictate that might happen later on down the road in the future

i feel like it will only get worse once he actually marries you. you never know if he will get physical with you someday. it’s cute and hot and all, but is this really somebody you want to spend the rest of your life with and deal with his jealousy all the time? i like a protective man too but, i dont want him going around punching dudes or maybe hitting me for having basic conversation with someone.
