So first of all, I’m just wary of men in general because it seems a lot of them want sex after a first date and that’s it but I don’t sleep with guys that are not my boyfriend.
I told him this but he still asked me out on a date Wednesday and scheduled it for today (Saturday).
We’ve been texting all day. But I message him at 8pm Friday evening and he just now responds to me (12:45am Saturday) that his mom was in the hospital after walking her dog. She collapsed apparently, a neighbor found her, and his home town is 3.5 hours from here so he said he drove back up there. I told him we could reschedule and he said ‘thank you’.
This may be paranoia but I feel like this is a blow off. The odds of this happening is really low and history tells me this probably isn’t true. But the timing and him not answering for four hours makes me think he’s telling the truth.
Should I give him the benefit of the doubt or is this a subtle blow off? I’m not in the mood to have my time wasted but I also don’t want to be a heartless bitch.
