I think many times over here on GaG guys have made it clear that being independent is a turn off to most men, makes men feel like they aren't needed and strips them of that protective feeling they get with girls who seem less able to take care of themselves or solve their own problems.

But for those of us who are just independent by nature (not to say we do everything without any help from anyone), it's kind of a done deal. Which types of men are especially well suited to independent women?

I think most men are fine with an independent woman, truly independent ones, not the feminists who depend heavily on state handouts funded by male taxpayers

I like them and have huge respect for them. It proves their dependable and can commit and take big responsibilities. In my opinion if a guy doesn't like an independent girl he doesn't have confidence in himself and thats his problem not yours.

Yeah I dont doubt that you respect them, but that doesn't mean that you like them romantically. A lot of men like the idea and respect us but they like women who are more dependent on them because they want to feel like protector and provider. have you ever dated a really independent woman?

Yes i have, the problem with her was she wanted a stronger guy, thats what independent woman want and its normal. No matter how strong a woman is she wants a stronger man to make her feel more feminine, That broke my confidence.

Your statement is nothing more than an opinion. It's not even a complete or well-expressed idea, let alone an argument worthy of me trying to prove it to be untrue. Happy Saturday though!

Sure, but you haven't presented any coherent argument, let alone any "valid research or facts." Attacking or belittling people when they ask a question doesn't really constitute "valid research or actual facts." Youve done none of this. So if someone starts responding bitterly with attacks, text-laughing at someone and trying to belittle them, this is purely an emotional response, and again, a rather one. Thus, you clearly have some *feelings* (not actual research or evidence) to get off your chest and a specific resentment or emotion tied to the question presented to you. And therapy is useful for everyone, so I'm not saying this as if you're different. But you have responded with pure emotion and a dismissive, belittling tone to a fairly benign question. Again, leads me to believe you have some feelings to share and should probably find a constructive way to sort through them. Like anyone else.
