Is this a good rejection text? I've (19F) been on 4 dates with him (24M) but we aren't compatible?

So this is a Tinder guy i met first 3 weeks ago. Within those 3 weeks we already been on 4 dates already. He asked me out each time. We haven't hooked up, only made out. I had a good time with him and he'd be a good friend but we aren't compatible for a relationship.

But this guy wants to see me pretty often. He even sort of invited me to meet his friends the other day but i said i was tired. Im going away this weekend and he said he wants to cook for me when i get back. I dont wanna waste his time or mine. I realise i should have told him earlier but it's too late now. We have been teasing each other via text recently so I don't know how to bring it up... should I be like "by the way i sense that you're looking for smthg serious and Im not but we can be friends if you want. Im honestly just on tinder to meet new people and see what's out there". Or?

First off, you NEVER break up with someone via text; that's tacky.


Next time you talk to him: phone, video call, or in person, tell him exactly what you just told us: he's nice, but you're not feeling it. And you want to be friends-


FYI, he probably won't want to stay friends, so don't be upset or offended if that happens. Most people don't want to stay friends with someone that rejected them!!!

This is a sensitive subject because who knows how someone will react, I find the best way to get rejected (believe me I am a pro at getting rejected) is to be straight with him, and be clear with the reasons why because that could help you with the aftermath I wish I could give you an example but mine are all bad, so I say just be clear with the main reason and don't say anything like its not you it's me because that is the worst thing you could say hope this helps
