Back to girls with glasses. Is that statement true today?

I wear glasses (nearsighted). I've worn glasses since 5th grade, including those huge, coke-bottle ones before they were considered in style!

Now ask me how many times I've been asked out...
If you answered less than five, you would be right! LOL.

Now I am not saying that statement is true: I'm sure there are women out there that wear glasses that get hit on all the time. However, it probably helps if you're attractive, have the right look, the style of your glasses, etc. Which probably says a lot about myself, but let's not go there right now...

Basically, it depends more on the woman than the glasses. If it's an attractive woman, then she can being wearing a brown, paper bag and guys will ask her out!

I voted D. I don't think that glasses matter. Glasses can look really attractive. They can magnify a girl's eyes and make them look larger. They can make a girl look cute, shy, nerdy, intellectual or businesslike.

There is a movie cliche' of a buttoned down woman with rigid posture sitting behind a desk. She's wearing glasses and has her hair pulled back into a severe bun. When she stands, loosens her hair and shakes it out, unfastens the top buttons of her blouse, removes her glasses, and stalks out from behind the desk in her pencil skirt and spike heels, she suddenly looks like an insatiable sexual beast. LOL

Glasses are sometimes an asset as they can be sexy in my opinion but never a liability in my opinion. I think it is not true.

I have not read the comments below but I find it disturbing you needed to add a statement that you were not saying you don’t like girls in glasses. After reading your question and brief statement I found literally nothing that would have lead me to believe you dislike girls in glasses. This must be the sum of public and outrage culture. It would seem these days many young people do not have a grasp on standard American English let alone vocabulary beyond that.

Glasses, aesthetically, in terms of options in fashion, were very limited in 1926. There was rarely a such thing as "stylish" or "sexy" glasses, just black rims, nearly always made of the same material, and often oversized by contrast to the face (i. e. no rectangular glasses which present more appealing shapes, etc.)... imagine the difference between a woman in an elegant dress, and a beggar in 19th century cloth, to understand the difference between then and now.

Basically, your premise assumes, or at least doesn't exclude, that "glasses" refers to the same thing back then, in terms of sex appeal, as it does today, when in reality you're talking about a practical item then, versus a semi fashion accessory now.

As a percentage, I don't know how much difference it makes. I have no reason to believe one way or the other.

You are old enough to remember before contacts were a thing, when glasses were much more common than they are now. Back then, I don't think girls wearing glasses were lacking for attention.

I suppose it's like clothing. Some people pull it off better than others.

I've had friends who are super attractive who wear glasses occasionally (not usually -- they mostly wear contacts) and guys made passes over them as far as I could tell regardless of whether they were bumming it with glasses or dressing up all nice.

I think the problem is that, probably, more girls with good eyesight are better-looking than those with bad. Just like with guys. You typically don't find guys with 20/100 vision resembling a Brad Pitt.

I don't think I've ever dated a woman who didn't either wear glasses, contacts, or have eye surgery done at some point... One thing I will definitely say though, is the current trend of "granny glasses" looks HORRIBLE compared to the more nerdy/geeky trend from my high school and college days and is absolutely a turnoff.

For me Living in Bangladesh. Glasses are common really. Nowadays a lot of People wears glasses (both men and women). Even the Army will take you even if you wear glasses (conditions apply). And that's not just Bangladesh.

For those that can see the eye colour it is of little relevance - unless you see a huge distortion in picture due to the strong glass lenses (which might mean someone is lying to them they can't see but, again, I haven't thought about it 🤷‍♂️)

Depends on the man.
I didn't go to libraries and bookstores e find girls but I had sex with more girls that I met in libraries and bookstores than in bars.
And glasses were present with all those girls.
