Baby daddy keeps letting me down and texts me whenever he decides too, he also doesn't pay maintenance should I block him?

hi everyone, so i gave birth to my daughter 3 months ago, and my ex has only seen her once. He broke up with me last September, ( I was 3 months pregnant) he never seen me or got in contact with me while I was pregnant. He seen his daughter 10 days after she was born, he hasn't seen her since. He keeps giving these excuses he's busy, or has hospital appointments (for what I dont no) or his bike is broken, or he will say he's coming up but then last minute something happends always and he can't make it. Last he was ment to come up but told me his mam was unwell he had to drive out to her, but i found out on Facebook that night he went camping. He hasn't paid a cent towards her either ( tbh i dont want his money really) but I still find it annoying he never offered. The thing that annoys me is, he goes without contact or ignores me then he will text me out of nowhere and say are you free around 8pm? Im like no. My daughter is asleep by 7pm. Why does he think its OK to ask to come at 8pm. So last night he said are you free Friday, i was unsure what to say, I was going to say no but I said yeah I am. He said ok ill come up, i said ok 12 o'clock.
If he doesn't show on Friday I think ill have to block him. Its very stressful and upsetting for me. He most likely won't show on Friday so I'm asking what should I do? In April he texted me loads of abusive messages, and giving out that my family are annoyed with him ( because he left me pregnant) he was calling them all sorts bad names and saying really need help and advice.
