Guys, would you choose NOT to approach or date a woman because she drives a luxury car or a sports car such as a Porche Carrera?

Girls, would you refuse a date from a guy if he drove a late model sedan?

I care more about the car being clean and maintained. It drives me crazy to get into a dusty car riddled with papers, empty coffee cups, and STUFF.

Well it does depend on some factors. However a big red flag for me would be when she is willing to spend more money on her car than on her house (rent/mortgage vs. car loan payments).

Also I would judge her for the reason she got the car especially if it is a sports car. If she bought the Porsche to say she got the Porsche I wouldn't really like it. If she has always dreamt of a Porsche and knows about the car than that would actually be a turn on for me.

Out of curiosity, what car do you drive?

I drive an SUV. The Porche is just my dream car. I have a female friend who drives a Camaro and another a Mercedes E class. Both are married. I was curious if driving those types of cars would stop a man from asking a woman out.

I don't actually have an opinion about someone who drives a Mercedes. Although I would appreciate that she isn't driving an SUV. The Camaro is cool if it is an old one that would be really hot.

When it comes down to the Porsche. I think it is really cool to have a dream car. It would definitely make you more attractive in my opinion. However I would probably be boring you with the racing history of Porsche.

In all three cases I would however think that they would have no interest in me what so ever. So chances are slim that I would approach you.

It might be when someone is intimidated by a confident and successful woman. Because that is what the Porsche can project. Alternatively it could also give the impression that there is a husband that paid for it...

If it is only the opinion of men that keeps you from driving that Porsche than I'd say get that Porsche. Would you want aan who will keep you from your dream?

Also if on a first date, my date would ask me if she should pick me up in her Porsche, I'd probably ask her to marry me on the spot ;)

Well, I don't exactly have a spare $100K to spend on something so impractical. I'm married anyway. BUT... I really could see myself driving that car!

Have you ever considered the 718 (used to be called boxter)? It is positioned lower than the 911 but is in its essence the better car.

Oh yes! That was my favorite but the 911 looks a little sleeker. I wouldn't complain about either one.

Let me ask you this, would you date a guy if he showed up in a work truck, even if it was clean?
Most of the time I show up in my pickup, even though I have other vehicles to choose from.
If that is what someone would base a relationship on then that is not someone I would ever be interested in.

I would date a guy with a work truck. I love hard working men. I'm usually trying to steal a peek at the driver when I see a truck. If the truck was poorly maintained and filthy inside, that would be a turn off.

With that being said, I'm still guilty of judging based on what a guy drives. When I see a guy driving a luxury car, I tend to assume he is self centred, showing off, or having a mid life crisis.

I guess that's the same, right?

My boyfriend drove a minivan when we started dating. Now he has a mini van and a chevy spark. Neither of which would be considered sexy/luxury cars. That doesn't matter to me at all.

If she is driving Porsche Carrera she is way out of my league. I don't think I can afford her. She would be very high maintenance for me. I already have had experience with somewhat high maintenance person. I could not afford to keep her so how can I keep someone driving luxury sports car? Life becomes very difficult. We all are liabilities / projects. Some of us are way out of others reach. The person who can identify and not go for I would consider them smart.
