Why most girls only run after hot guys only then complain?

I have seen it in high school , college. Girls are only interested in dating talking with one or two hottest guys in that class. Even average or less than average girls will only date those guys or will be single but will not give a erage guys a chance. Now those guys already had bad reputation of cheating and sleeping around and they did they same with those average girls. But they still want them badly. Average guys like average girls too but they generally don't give a single chance to avg guys and then cry about it that all guys are bad. I have seen all of my friends (girl ) are like that. Girls only want avg looking guys after 30 s. I am not complaining that I don't get dates. I have accepted myself.

A lot of us run on looks, but some girls don't. I like hot guys, pretty boys, etc. I know I'm pretty. But sometimes I pay attention to average guys, I would say. Everybody mentions average on here, I'm not 100% on what they mean. But I have an idea. Maybe like 2 months ago. A guy seemed interested in me. I would say he was average and he was the waiter. Of course, I've gone to restaurants a million times. This was different. He was only looking at me when taking my mom and sister's orders. I was a little surprised when I made eye contact with him. I wasn't expecting him to be looking at me. And he just maintained eye contact. I did to. I felt something. Like intrigue. Like I could go for him. It continued like that for the whole time we were there. I was surprised nobody of my family mentioned it. I did sound a little rude at one point on accident. But he didn't seem to care. He still seemed interested. I didn't do anything about it. Mostly because my family was there. But if he would have given me his number, I would have accepted it. Lol
