That is one of the main problems with a meaningful relationship. Women want intents right away, but men more often take much more time to gain enough interest to want to be together romantically.
That is why many women get played. They go with someone that shows interest right away (because they really just want sex and use them).
More men that want a lasting romantic relationship want to get to know her well first to see how compatible she is for long term. By the time he is really interested she sees him as a friend.

So more of the men that would be good for a lasting relationship are stuck as friends and the ones that use her and discard her are the ones she is with. By the time she realizes this she already has a bad past and has lost her value to most good quality men.

I think there is a line between the two as many women will say they prefer friendship first yet nobody wants to spend months developing a friendship where u want more only to be told you are not liked like that so I think developing a friendship whilst letting her know you are romanticly intrested in her

I would not want to go out with my friend. They'd be in my friend-zone lol, meaning, I would not want to lose my friendship with them. Its better if a guy made his intentions clear right from the beginning. If you want to ask a girl out, be confident, and just ask her out on a date.
