Why does this guy I work with always calls me beautiful or similar terms?

I think he is 😳 It makes me very uncomfortable when guys do that. There used to be this guy at my work who I was kind of friends with in the beginning. He was very patient and helpful because I was new and I really appreciated him. Then one day he was like, “btw, I think you’re really beautiful” and I was like, what a nice compliment. Then he started saying it almost everytime we saw each other at work, like “you look so beautiful and cute today” and stuff. And I could feel him watching me every time I went past him. I started becoming very wary and uncomfortable every time I had to be around him … i switched jobs so I don’t see him anymore, but… i don’t really like to remember that.
