Am I in the wrong for lying about my occupation, sources of income, and or how much money I make?

Im in the dating scene, I talk to several girls but then the evitable happens. They ask what I do for a living. Truth be told I hate being asked. Since I have no clue if Im gonna continue seeing said females I'll say some bs mediocre job title. Truth is I have several businesses, I own a car mechanic shop, rent cars and trailers, I flip carz here and there, Im heavy into the weed game. So fair to say I have a fair amount of sources of income. I don't want to be honest because I dont want the money to become their objective. I feel like once Im in a committed relationship I can come forth and be honest about what I do for a living.

One thing about social media these days you can find anything online. It’s better to be honest with your than to lie about something so small. I do my research before I consider a guy and as he’s speaking I’ll go through the checklist to see if he’s honest. It’s not a wise decision because if someone is interested in you then they want to know the truth and how you are working on yourself to improve your lifestyle. If someone doesn’t want to stick around then they won’t whether your resume sounds good or not.


I work at a grocery store and I work outside gathering shopping carts. I’m a beautiful young lady who values her future and that’s why I decided to pursue a degree and go to college. Men that I’ve gotten to know throughout the years have never degraded me for what I do. I would careless if anyone had backhand comments because I don’t
seek validation. Be yourself. You couldn’t recognize a genuine woman if she came along because you’re not honest with yourself.

See thats where you got it twisted. I use social media. As in I have it but dont post, share or interact much with them. If you were to look me Im im virtually a ghost. You said its better to be honest for something so small. But for me protecting myself financially. No im not just worried about the money. Im worried I could end up with a gold digger, hence why I lie about said topic.

Honestly if you never plan on seeing them again, it's not the worst thing for some people,
But for myself do you want to be pegged as a liar as a first impression to others? Something I can't stand as that's a deal breaker for myself and a lot of people I know both men and women is somebody that lies, because if you can lie about that what else can you lie about? It's nothing but issues from the gecko, if I were you I'd be honest about it and if someone doesn't like you or want to date you because they don't like your job and how much money you've got, then guess what, they don't deserve you, and aren't even worth your time!

Somebody who cares genuinely will want to get to know YOU not how much your pay cheque is!
Don't lie to change things about yourself and life to make someone else happy!

If you are rich then its okey to not tell them, because people change when they hear u got loads of money, they dont have control over it its instinct of survival that kicks in. Yea just brush it off as nothing important maybe tell partial truth that u flip cars here and there, u dont have to tell that u have businesses just say i flip cars here amd there to get by its fine.
Then u dont feel have to feel bad. Lies make u feel bad, partial truth is still truth.
