I don’t understand the current dating culture and need help figuring out what this all means?

So the date went from like 4:30-10 at night. We talked for hours and played with his adorable puppy. We watched two movies and cuddled on the couch, as well as did other things (if you know what I mean haha). And cuddled some more and kissed at the end of the date. I mentioned I thought it went well and he agreed and kissed me and made sure I got in my car okay. But then When I got home i noticed he unmatched me on tinder, but I did get his number, and we switched phones so we had each other’s phones to put it in. And he’s answered so I know he didn’t give me a fake number or anything. Is this normal? I’m trying to get better at not obsessing over little things or coming on too strong so I don’t scare guys off, so I figured coming here would be better than obsessing about it and driving myself crazy. I even deleted the app to avoid obsessing. And I’m still learning date culture so I’m not sure if what I went through is standard date stuff or more booty call stuff.

It sounds like the date went well, but you are concerned about the contradictory behavior afterwards. Get a discussion going about his intentions before proceeding further, so that there is no miscommunication.

The men can say whatever they want but if you have seggs with them early on, they won't consider you for a serious relationship unless you become a placeholder girlfriend. Date multiple men and by that I don't mean by having sex with all of them unless you want to lol but to simply not throw all of your eggs in one basket. Just have fun cause everbody dies alone anyways lol

I don't take any date seriously. It's a rule with me that I NEVER put more energy into a woman than she'll put into me. You'll make yourself crazy otherwise. Because the simple fact is I'd say about 85% of people are just playing games anymore.

I like they guy and I got vibes last night he liked me, but I’m also clueless when it comes to the world of dating. I don’t know how to show interest without coming on too strong, and freaking them out in the process. And from what I’ve gotten on the few dates I have been on they most things are casual

Yeah and this is NOT something someone can tell you because everybody is different. My best advice is follow your heart, just remember to keep your brain in the loop as well lol. Yes if you come on too strong you MAY scare a guy off. But if you did it's because he didn't have any interest or wasn't sure about what he wanted. So know you didn't ruin anything. You just got a clear answer.

Yea he is but I get the feeling he isn’t a very good texter or he only uses it to communicate when meeting up or something because they are very short texts

Yeah, lots of guys aren’t big into texting. As long as he responds and positive, I’d say probably not to worry.

If me? I would maybe suggest like a lunch or something and see what comes back. That will tell you a lot.
