Honestly though I do the plus 7 and subtract 7 rule... so anyone from 38 to 52. But even then the youngest girl I have been at on a date at 45 was 36 and the oldest was 50. The 36 year old was average looking and 50 year old was sexy as hell... so that tells you something.
I have been most successful and happy with women between 42 and 46 years old.
Most guys would date anyone within 10 years of their age, and after that I think its more of physical attraction thing. Guys will be far more forgiving of looks in a younger women, and far less forgiving of women looks the old they get.
I would date anyone over the age of 22 year old and be flattered that a 22 year would want to have sex with me, but there definitely would have to be sex involved and early on. Because at 45 I am extremely confident in what I am looking for and want in a relationship and I do not need time to figure it out. But would I consider a 22 year old serious relationship material... probably not. But there is big difference from being 22 vs 26 and being 26 vs 32.
So in the end at 45... 32 to 34 at most I would probably take serious. I have raise my kids and I am not about to raise another. And honestly I have not had much interest in ladies younger than 38, and I do pretty well for myself.
You must realize if you got involve with a guy over 36 years old, he is a lot less likely to change anything about himself or his life style just for you. You start considering guys over 40, then better not want kids... because most guy over 40 either have kids already or never want kids at all. So you are talking about a small population. So you really have to love this guy for who his is, because he will mostly likely always be that type of guy... and if he thinks you're trying to change, restrain or control anything he wants to do he will move on without you.00 Reply

+1 yI prefer younger, my past romantic relationships break down into statistics roughly like this:
Much older: <5%
Older: 5%
Same age: 25%
Younger: 40%
Much younger: 25%
This is just a rough average, I didn't actually track any data, just my impressions. My longest lasting, most satisfying, and best chemistry "top 10" relationships were with:
4 of ten: same age
4 of ten: younger
2 of ten: much younger
As it comes to "settling down", the likelihood is I if I do settle down it will be with someone who is in the younger to much younger range. I say "much older/younger" to denote anyone who is outside of the classic formula:
anyone else know this formula? 10 Reply

u +1 ySince I was about 30 years old, I have dated women who were within 10 years of my age, younger or older. My current girlfriend is 58 and I am 67, but I am a healthy and active 67 year old male.
00 Reply It's always been 23 to 30, as the ideal age range for a partner. But as I've turned 35, I'm willing to go 20 to 35, but honestly, under 18-23 feels too young to me and a woman over 34 feels way too damn old (a female 35 is like a male 50). So 23 to 30 is the ideal range.

+1 yIt don’t really matter its all about attraction and keeping it. I am 55 I still date women of all ages. I do get squeamish if they are under 22 or 23 . I also have a rule about females under 30 they have to start it. Which happens quite a lot these days. It seems a lot of younger females have a older man fetish. They have to be pretty ( that catches my eye ) then they need to be intelligent and able to hold a conversation. You might be surprised how hard that can be to find these days.

+1 yYounger than me. Don't take this wrong, but women of my same age start to know too much about men for me to impress them. LOL Really! Its not that I am not good looking or anything! It's just that they've seen it all, done it all, and now they set their own agenda. I personally like a woman to be more flexible—in more than one sense!
00 Reply350 opinions shared on Dating topic. I'd say I'd date up into the 40's if she's good looking, and I know plenty of women in their 40's who are. I've crushed on a few of my parents' friends.
As far as younger, I think it's less about what "I" think, and more of how much older she is willing to date, and how emotionally mature she is. Otherwise, I'll probably be attracted to 18 year olds until the day I die.00 Reply- 576 opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yIt’s got little to do with age. If I’m using a dating app and looking then I want younger. I look 10 years younger than I am and have the energy and hobbies of a younger man. Even if not I find older women come with baggage so I avoid 30+ unless forced. Sorry ladies by then you e had more problems then I care to deal with especially when you project them onto me.
But a hit is a hit and sometimes things workout. It’s about the people not the specifics.00 Reply At any age in my life, I've been open to anyone usually within 10 years either way (unless it made her underage). At the 10 yr mark or more, then I look at it more as how compatible we are. The bigger the difference in age, could mean big lifestyle differences, and/or future relationship goals, which have to be taken a bit more seriously I think. They are things to consider no matter what, but they are often quite different the bigger the age difference is.
00 ReplyHonestly it doesn't matter
Younger women are more appealing
Because they have less baggage usually
Meaning they haven't gone through as many
Hurtful relationships and have blocked off their heart
To the point that they are just products of their past00 Reply- 3.9K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yMaturity, fun personality, healthy attitude, takes care of herself, pretty, etc, are all more important to me than age. If I found that in a girl 7-8 years younger or older, I wouldn't think twice about dating her long term. Ideally, 2-3 difference is best, but it's not that big of a deal to me.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 ySomeone aged 23-27.
I prefer a partner about 4 years younger, who is already independent from their family.
I never fancied a same age partner, I think that men and women's standards and expectations develop at different rates.
Women want to settle at an earlier age and they have a more solidified vision of their future, which I think inevitably results in compatibility issues among same age couples.00 Reply16.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. Definitely someone in her 30d. I’d like to have more kids.
You’ll have no trouble finding someone- most guys want younger women.10 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. I prefer younger, obviously.
I'm very active, I need someone in shape who can keep up with me.
Plus I really value fun. Obviously, I'm a serious guy, too, but older people can become so seriously. Want someone silly, too.00 Reply
+1 yIf it is Super serious, I am talking about marriage here, for me 24 is the limit. I need a young and health energetic mother who still be able to look young when she be in her 40's while already having a 20 year old kid.
00 ReplyIn my opinion it really depends on the individual and his mentality. As for me, I'm 38, it really doesn't matter. older, younger, same age, sugar baby, sugar daddy, cougar, sugar mama, it's all about the chemistry.
00 ReplyI'm post 30 and single. Now I'm most interested in girls in their twenties mainly because I want to start a family, and post 30, the prospective birthing time-line really starts to crunch.

+1 yI would say the range is : same age --> younger. I'm 48 and I'd consider dating someone younger, maybe down to 30ish. But totally on a case by case basis. Probably would draw the line at 25.

+1 yMy age preference at 30 was 30. My age preference at 31 was I give up trying.
My age preference now is, I don't even look at women anymore lol.00 ReplyI would say she needs to be between at least 22 years old and max. 2 years older than me. So not too young, and not much older than me.

+1 yAge is less important to me than personality. If we have things we can enjoy together (outside of the bedroom too) and we click than why worry about age?

+1 yMost people are WAY too concerned over things like age and height. Consenting adults are able to do whatever they want. I'm more interested in compatibility.
00 Reply 438 opinions shared on Dating topic. Younger...
Probably bc my ex turned into a Karen after our daughter was born and I see similar behavior way too often in women of the same age...
But if it sparks, I usual do not mind00 ReplyI would like someone younger than me. My preference is 23-33 but not hard set.
00 Reply453 opinions shared on Dating topic. 18-26 - It's not going to change irrespective of my age. Men normally go for youth and fertility.

10 Reply 1.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. I prefer younger, mainly because many older are "Bitter" from bad relationships, I hate having to "Prove" I'm not like the Last Guy... I'd rather not date at all
