They're dried up and if you're a single woman at 35 and 40 years old, the good solid 40 year old men are either married or can score younger girls. They learn this the hard way and so they deflect by calling men pedos. It's really sad.

If the brain isn't developed then is it wrong for a 21 year old to date a 24 year old? That makes no sense. Also the brain NEVER fully develops. The idea that the brain stops developing at 25 is a myth. Intelligent people have their brain develop their entire lives until the day they die. Unstimulated brains stop developing at around 15 or 16 years old. What happens at 25 years old is that all the functions of the brain in all the different area normally are operating as well as they're going to work for your genotype.

NOW, that does not mean "the brain stops developing". As I said, if a person stimulates their brain or is of high intelligence, their brains get stronger through out their lives.

At 25 your prefrontal cortex is developed this means you start thinking about long term consequences of actions and respond to situations using better judgement. Prior to this your brain used the amygdala which is entirely basing decisions on emotions. It's why you would often do more things based on how you feel in your teen/early adult years.

So it's not so much the age gap it's the mind gap. You have power dynamics, mental and physical maturity differences and vastly different life experiences. You've also got to think whats wrong with this 30+ year old guy that women his own age see that an 18-23 year old can't see?

2 key points are dead wrong. First off the Prefrontal Cortex is not "fully developed at 25" and this is downright pseudoscience. The Prefrontal Cortex has a 17 year range for when it's at it's strongest in adults. A person's prefrontal cortex which is the cognitive powerhouse of the brain, can stop developing as young as 23 in those with little education and stimulation, all the way to 40 in people of intelligent and actually continually will keep developing until death in those of high intelligence and continual simulation. Meaning you can have a 23 year old girl who's harder to manipulate than a 40 year old woman. Conversely you can have a 23 year old girl who can easily manipulate a 40 year old man.

Also i'm 39 and I have nothing about me that's "wrong" or the "matter with me" that would throw a 40 year old woman off. I spent most of the pandemic with a 20 year old girl who was intelligent, smart, aware and I never did anything wrong to her. I currently have a 35 year old and a 37 year old woman crushing on me and that Im aware they dont see any serious flaws in me.

It's pseudo science. Read both articles and you'll see why. You have people well into their 30s (and older) that still have developing brains. Aimee's reading ability shows she might not be firing on all cylinders or is just too proud. Dude, did you read this article? It says the pre-frontal cortex doesn't fully develop until 25. First off this is false. No medical or physical change can be pinned down to a single age. Not one. Puberty happens between 11 and 14 and even up to 16 in some cases where it's late. I stopped getting taller at around 23 where most people it's at 21 or as young as 14. 25 is simply the age mainstream medical organizations have chosen because 25 is an age where most people really should be out on their own and making their own decisions. It's just as arbitrary as 18 being the age of adult hood. It's just there for military and consumerist reasons.

25 isn't even the average age for the brain to fully develop. Neuron density and neurogenesis can happen literally until the day you due at 70 and 80s years old. There's a reason that physicists, mathematicians and scientists are coherent until the moment they die.

You found that PHD in a cereal box? Where did you study? No Board-certified psychiatrist would pin down a single age as the sole moment where ANY physiological phenomenon happens in the human body. The delta in between these milestones are much closer together between ages 0-4 but after that they widen more and more with age. You should know better than anyone that environment, phenotype and genotype all create a massive range for literally every aspect of the human body, including brain development.

Sure its not an exact age but it's a good reference for brain maturity. We say 25 because that is typically the age where those functions do mature but it could be longer and it could never happen due to many different things.

Either way doesn't change the fact that an 18 year old and a 30 year old being in a relationship is very wrong.
