This girl I've been dating called me "sir" and it's kinda weird. For context, while texting I told her to "stay safe" and she replied "yes sir". Is that flirting?

It could be a way of flirting but it’s often just used as a joke or to be funny, like when someone gives orders. You told her to be safe, and she was saying it like “yes sir!” (following commands) lol.

Well, I’m from the south… So, “Sir” and “Ma’am” are said to everyone and anyone. However, I think for those in the city or more urban places, it’s less common, so I’d assume it would be more of a respect thing or maybe a submissive thing. I don’t know her personality though.

I always think it's the opposite of flirting. When someone calls me sir I see it like a teacher, coach, or a friend's dad
