Should the man or the women pay on the first date?

For the first date, each person should pay their own way so nobody feels used or obligated. It is just a first date to try to get to know them to see if you are actually interested in dating them.
I disagree with the 50/50 idea because some people spend significantly more than others on their meal. For example, if one person ordered a $15 meal with a drink and the other ordered a $40 to 50 meal, it would be unfair to split the bill 50/50.

There are definitely varying opinions on this. My opinion is that the man should pay, but that the woman should at a minimum offer to pay for her food. I think if the woman doesn't offer, she looks like a gold digger, but if the man doesn't pay, he looks cheap.

There is no should in courtship - it’s voluntary behaviour based on your interest and what they expect from you.

I don't know what people say. If you like the woman and you asked her out just pay for both of you. Don't go for something expensive that burn your wallet pizza hut good place not that expensive

Technically, whoever asked out the other should pay. It was their ask. But masculine chivalry is still very prominent. I’d offer to pay if she tried, but I’d acquiesce if she was insistent.

I don't spend more than 60 dollars and only invite women to places I was already going to go. Like the movies or something

So I pay. 60 dollars to me is nothing. It also lets me read the women.

It depends on which one asked the other out a lot of times, but there's no hard and fast rule. It's something I think adults can work out like alternate paying the tab, split 50/50, each pays her/his own check, rock paper scissors, etc.
