Do you prefer girls who are very independent and don't let you do anything for them or girls who are more dependent on you. For example if she is struggling to carry something that you know you could help with do you prefer if she adamantly refuses and carries on or if she excepts your help.

I´d prefer her to be somewhere in between. Because my love language is giving such spending time or make something like a special meal for a person. So if she wasn´t able to receive at times, I don´t think a relationship would work. At the same time I don´t know if I could handle a woman completely depending on me.

Being too independent and not accepting help is just a bit too pig headed.

Having her hurt herself just because she’s not prepared to accept help is silly

same as if I was struggling I would ask for help.

I prefer girls that don't expect you to provide them with everything. I expect them to be independent and be able to pay for themselves and carry their own weight. I will never expect a girl to pay for me in any way. But I would hope she doesn't expect me to pay for her in any way. That includes restaurant dates or rent/mortgage.

So even if you were sharing the house you would expect her to pay the full rent/mortgage, if you asked her out to the restaurant you would expect her to pay, the full bill or just hers?

If we live together, I would expect her to pay half of the rent or, if she makes less than me, at least a percentage of the rent based on her income.

If we go on a restaurant date, as I mentioned earlier, I expect her to pay her own bill and I will pay my own.

Well thats not totally being independent. There are some things for that you need to be dependent on your partner and some independent. It really depends on the situation. Also mutual understanding plays an important role.
