Does it show interest if a guy asks you more deep/meaningful questions?

I have a guy friend , from whom I sometimes get the impression that he likes me. We always see eachother in a group setting (we met through a mutual friend), and last time I saw him he started following up things I said with questions. One topic was about my mother, and he asked me about my relationship to her, if I wanted us to be closer etc. His questions felt pretty personal, like he was trying to get to know me on a deeper level. Would him wanting to know these things show that he’s interested in me and wants to know me better?

I think a guy who respects you does not ask you personal questions, it seems invasive and disrespectful. A socially experienced guy asks you open ended questions that gives you the opportunity to volunteer information or optionally offer to share personal details about your life.

I did feel a little caught off guard and uncomfortable. I don't usually discuss personal things so freely. You have a point about that

It's a good sign, but there are some people that are just like that also. It's not as common with guys, but some are lol. But if you feel he likes you, then you're probably right.

Yeah if he asking those sort of questions, it's a tiny sign that he has some interest in you. There must be other sign though, this alone is not enough.
