If you're willing to assimilate, just including your Indian heritage as an added bonus to make things interesting, not what you expect others to take on as theirs, then mixed marriages can thrive. Mutual respect is important in any relationship. Take the other person's feelings into consideration before saying or doing anything, and then what you end up with will be more likely to be special.

If you want to marry an Australian guy, you have to move to Australia. There aren’t many Australian men in India.

Your ethnicity has nothing to do with why men aren’t dating you. I can assure you that your ethnicity will NOT pose a problem. You are just like any other woman or any other race. If a man cares about your ethnicity more than who you are as a person, maybe he isn’t the type of guy you would want to share your life with.

If they’re your type, go ahead, but I think you should sort out your insecurity about your race first. Go to the UK or Australia or the U. S. There are tons of Indian women out there who are dating white men.

I don't have a lot of information or prejudices about Indian women. I have only known a couple and they were all kind of quiet.

On the other hand, what I have seen and know about Indian men, if I were a heterosexual woman, I would not want to date them. They seem very traditional, rapey, misogynistic, controlling, etc. Obviously not all Indian men are like that, but my guard would be up for any such red flags if I gave an Indian man a chance.

Oh, the whole caste system of India is a bit much for me as it seems to be very unjust and promoting inequality. So if an Indian woman was promoting that sort of thing, I would be turned off.

No one can be 'blamed' to be born as what he (or she) (or it) (or whatever) is.
But I WILL have an opinion on which side this person has chosen.
As for Indian culture: after numerous contacts and disappointments I have written off that ''culture'' for myself.
If now an ''Indian'' girl crosses my path, I only would see a common base if she's acting and thinking ''non-Indian''.
I don't expect that, though.
