Hot guy, mehhh girl, how can it work (read desc)?

Story time! Basically, there’s this near perfect guy and want to boost my chances with him. Honestly, I don’t really know how people would describe my looks. I’ve been called it all - Hot, ugly, pretty.. So I just describe my looks as a 5/10. Personality? Work in progress. (Same with looks). For now, a good 7 or 8 out of 10. I just want to become a little more confident and sure of myself in the sense of sticking to my values and morals. So that’s that. There is this stupidly hot guy that I like. 10/10 for looks. I’ve herd it from everyone. Anytime I ask someone about him, literally the first thing they say is “he’s hot.” Personality? I don’t know yet, only admired him from afar. But from what I’ve seen, he’s funny, adventurous, and cares about people. (He’s perfect, I know!) So naturally I want to get to know him better and form a relationship with him one day. Oh, and keep this in mind; I have this friend who is very annoying and loves attention and causing drama. She knows I like the guy. She’s been making it somewhat obvious and been texting him saying stuff like “(my name) wants to know how you are” usually he asks who I am. Anyway, I want him so badly. My plan is to work on myself this summer, and eventually when I feel ready actually talk to him and me and my friends are gonna try to become friends with their friends. He’s out of my league, but that won’t stop me!! Sooo, when all of that does happen, what are some things I can do to boost my chances with him?
