+1 yOMG yes. Here is why.
I feel and have experienced much of the modern trends are wrapped and disguised in selfishness.
I am not talking about traditional women but traditional family - where a traditional woman and man will fit best. Where a man sacrifices and pours all he has into this team and family unit. A woman does the same. We capitalize on our strengths and shore up each other's weakness. This is called team work.
A traditional roll for example is the stay home mom. Women excel significantly at social, caring, nurturing skills. Men can do them. But why not pick the best person for the job when it comes to your kids. What others think does not matter. Only what you 2 decide. And personally I think and have researched that having a mother with the child, not quality but quantity, makes a massive difference. And when there is quantity there will be quality no way around that truth. And in a child's eyes quantity rates far grander than quality.
If she has the better paying job then that could be revisited. I personally have no qualms about being the parent who stays home. And I can relate to you my experience in my broken family if you so desire.
As far as being feminine or masculine, I strongly believe that the desires of your mate should come first. It is something you think about when dating. How to please and gain the favor so you will be someone they chose to spend their life with. Is it just a lie, a game, a facade to get in, then drop all of it? How you act can kill all that vital trust you worked so hard to gain. That effort, thought, and constant consideration should be there always.
When fighting and arguing. Go the extra mile even when you don't want to, just for them. To find a solution. There will be rewards. But mostly it will show how much you care and sacrifice. This will never be ignored by a real man or woman.
In the modern world its be yourself - do what makes you happy. But when your married you have committed to not be a self, but a team. You don't belong on a team and will feel out of place, unwelcome, unhappy doing what does not belong on a team, thinking only of yourself. Your team will lose and all team mates will be angry all the time. Talking, agreeing, moving, together and finding success will build up a tremendous happy well oiled family team.
So, each person on a team has a roll. They can cover one another as well, but they do their primary roll most of the time. If a couple assigns and uses their strengths to the full they will do far better. This is one of many reasons why I believe in traditional women.00 Reply

Its a shame we’re a world apart. Because I keep finding ourselves in agreement
Most guys I know would not be into that, especially considered the culture of where I’m from.
Of course someone who holds the same values as you would be, but it depends on the person.23 Reply- +1 y
Actually let me phrase this better.
Most guys like femininity and modesty to an extent. Do most guys I know like soft, submissive, traditional, bible, quiet girls? No. Do most guys I know like butch, outrageously loud, aggressive, strong girls? No.
Most guys I know like a mix. Feminine, kind, motherly - yet strong, independent and capable.
- +1 y
Outrageously loud and aggressive isn't nice in men ether IMHO. As a man I believe I should be modest, polite, respectful. How we define "feminine" and "masculine" is subject to a lot of interpretation. Do I want someone to LOOK feminine? Sure, but for me that's where it ends. Strong independent and capable is great. I don't see kindness or motherliness as masculine or feminine- because "motherliness" is the same as "fatherliness". I appreciate those qualities in anyone and have them myself. I don't see why women shouldn't be any different than men in their roles and behaviors.

But I need to mention that the top 10% guys - the tall, good-looking, popular guys that most women want - might have sex with such women, but they aren't likely to offer a commitment to those girls, or any girls. Girls still need to pick the right guys - picking them based on their values, morals, and life goals - or things aren't likely to turn out well for her.

u +1 yI am attracted to traditional, conservative, modest women. . . the kind who you WOULD take home to meet Mother! Why? I don't know.
11 Reply- +1 y
Because they have good qualities lol
ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'm very liberal, modern, and a feminist. I also support equality for LGBTQ+ people, minorities, and people with disabilities. Some of the above terms by themselves are subject to some interpretation, but strung together like that they are a big NO for me.
I dated someone who was traditional, she came on strong and fast then reversed course saying "we need to just be friends until I see how you do with your computer classes, you have to earn at least as much if not more than I do so you can pay my bills if I become ill."
She only admitted "I wish I hadn't said that" when she was trying really hard to get laid (and she didn't give a damn when I said I felt nothing for her yet and wanted to wait)
My mother raised me to believe that anything a man could do, so could (and should) a woman. I am not threatened if someone earns more, is smarter or more capable, or even physically stronger. All anyone needs to know about my finances is that I'm not looking to THEM for anything- so it shouldn't matter if I'm affluent or living on disability.
I also am not interested in dating anyone who claims to be feminist yet simultaneously still holds men to traditional gender roles. (men must pay for the first so many dates, or must ALWAYS be the ones to pursue or initiate) And I believe I'm pretty fair and balanced here, because many men still do and say some pretty nasty things.
There are of course still things I am learning about such as emotional labor, and other things men do which I am not aware of.
Modesty is something I hold myself to, but by that I mean I don't want to brag. I'm not sure quite what it meant in the above synopsis.
I'm attracted to the modern, progressive, staunch feminist.02 Reply- +1 y
You sound as though you’re ashamed of being a man.
+1 yMen who work hard for their money in a skilled occupation would appreciate a woman like that. Men will even compromise on looks and not go for the prettiest woman, but for the most feminine and traditional woman to marry and build a family with. Because after years of hard work, no man wants to come home to drama and headaches. A traditional woman who is modest and conservative and helps her man theu the ups and downs will be spoiled for life because he'll appreciate her. Thats how my dad was with my mom in the 25 years they were married so I've seen it.
But then there's other men who have jobs where they dont have to work as hard as the construction guy, they get paid sick leave, vacations, they can work 2 days a week if they want to. They might have social media accounts with a big fanbase. I can't speak for them. They can be a little different.00 Reply2.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. I I think you are absolutely right and I see that because that's kind of how we were brought up we only know what we experience but we see what we know the through our parents that's kind of it where they are There's Something Beautiful about that and pure about it
And even though we look for this in a woman we also want more there is a naughtiness a
Sexiness a confidence an openness that we are also looking for
I mean I can only speak for myself but you are right and I love the old tradition the old values but I also want it in a brand new way there has to be that spark of excitement that lust and connection that wildness of passion and desire and if it is truly who that person is and they are being honest . Then that's hard to find but for me that's what I'm looking for . So my answer is yes very much so but in a new and honest way00 Reply
+1 yI'd say yes but not in general.
For two reasons:
1. Many especially younger guys don't share traditional values, they prefer adventurous relationship models with less responsibility. Many young guys don't plan to settle down and they won't cherish a woman like that.
They probably say they like it but not so much because they have in mind to settle down and have a family but because that sounds like a submissive woman that could be used.
2. Traditional women are said to be harder to get. The effort in dating lies solely on the man's shoulders.
Many of us guys don't like that because it either sounds risky like as a guy you have to give effort while she doesn't need to move a finger or because it takes time to get her.00 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYes extremely. I’m not saying she has to be home all the time to cook my meals, wash my clothes, pop out babies but it is nice to come home to a living partner who is thankful for everything you do for the family. I can cook as well, I know how to wash clothes. I know how to do a lot of things that my mother taught me. But it just feels good to come home to a loving girlfriend or wife who welcomes you home w open arms, after 12-16 hour shifts w some love, a nice drink w a big sammich lol I will try to give her the world in return.
00 ReplyYes, we most definitely are. The hard part though, is actually finding one, let alone one that is single. These women do exist out there, but 99.99% of them are taken.
I just asked a similar question on here myself (yours may or may not have been inspired by that).
Guys: Are there ACTUALLY still good single women out there?00 Reply- 596 opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yOf course they are. Where I live I'd say it's the norm.
Although the word "feminine" can mean a lot of things. In traditional conservative relationships the woman isn't going to be some weak simpering helpless woman. She's going to be strong and quite capable of doing things for herself. She won't be afraid of getting her hands dirty (which means she's probably won't have long nails). She's very different than the stereotype a lot of people believe.00 Reply Yes, I am attracted to traditional women.
I gave up on women years ago, but I still enjoy looking.
Women, as collective, have made themselves to obnoxious and legally dangerous for any form of interaction with them to survive a cost/risk/benefit calculation.10 ReplyHere's what happens IN MY EXPERIENCE 90% of the women I initially like..
I'll show interest, she either plays games or doesn't reciprocate, I move on until I find someone who does. Doesn't matter what she identifys as, my observation skills tell me the truth they hide regardless.00 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yThe first two are ok.. the last one.. is kind of a red flag to me. Nothing wrong with being a conservative, if that’s what you believe. But I don’t like women that lean too far to the left or the right. I like a free thinking woman, that’s has room to grow, change and evolve in her world view.. not the “this is how we have done it, this is how it’s supposed to be…” type of women. That will always lead to something bad
00 Reply I am attracted to a real human who is who she is meant to be. Not traditional in the sense of dress codes, dogmas and learned behaviors. But feminine from having a healthy female body.

@WhiteBoyChill: No, traditional in the sense she doesn't feel free or isn't daring enough to live her true self.
She gets her vaules and morals passed down by tradition instead of forming it on her own. Being her own person, not bound what the hell tradition has to say.

02 Reply- +1 y
You just need to figure out where the unicorn gatherings are... we exist. What i observe is men are afraid and need more courage to come talk to us. I am 46. Religious, i chose to be a full time mother and i have only been with one man in my life.. the man i married. unfortunately the man i believed for 22 years who i loved and adored and loyal too.. became physically abusive, maybe his depression or mental disorder or was jealous always. Divorce happening. Now im afraid the world is turned.. not looking forward to dating again? Ughh.. but back to point.. i see many men checking me out per say.. but why dont any of them come talk to me? This happened in high school and even in college.. one boy he told me later came to the library where i worked everyday.. for months, but he told me later that he was too afraid to approach me? I do not understand men. Anyways.. where to look.. utah. That is where some of the rare unicorns gather.. but the trick is they are looking for unicorn men that hold same values and not out to get one night stands.. more work, complete loyalty and fidelity.. yet its worth the work.. many of us are devoted helpful, loyal, kind, supportive, raise good kids, and trustworthy. It takes committment.. which now society lacks committment because to be commited takes away personal freedom.. its a very selfish and instant gratification society now. I will not sleep with a man unless i am married.. but are men seeking women like that; completely loyal and trustworthy women worth it for a man sacrificing his freedom. Feminism killed this.. birth control killed families. Women sleep with men before marriage all the time then wonder why they won't marry.. giving men what they desire without them having to commit.. the world has become backwards. Committment to working for a common goal and freedom lost is replaced with securities worth giving up freedom, but can men see this? I dont know.. but good luck in your search for a unicorn.
Opinion Owner+1 y@Lonestar13 men are afraid to talk to women because women have been falsely accusing men of sex crimes for simply showing interest.
You are right though, feminism has killed male/female dynamics.
