What career/job would make you swipe past or pass up a date with someone?

If you’re on a dating app or even meeting someone face-to-face, what would make you pass up that person?
Is it that their schedule might not align with yours? Their values?

For me, it’s typically a musician, bar tender, or along those lines.
Someone who has a night life that would create a misalignment in schedules and not allow us to spend time together. I also wouldn’t want to be with someone who is an “influencer” on instragram or whatever. I don’t particularly care for the idea of being in the public eye.

I know that sometimes people have stepping stone paths, like a bar tending gig that allows them to do xyz in the future. But it wouldn’t be ideal for me in this moment in time.

*If you’re here to say that you would give anyone a chance, well then you’re sweet as pie. But I’m sure you have some kind of limit, if you’re being absolutely truthful.

I would say police officers. Never had a good interaction with them growing up. So I don’t see myself ever dating/marrying one. Also, all the guys I’ve messaged on dating apps are usually in construction, military, or in college.

My experience with them was something like this:

-Military: usually only message girls who are looking for marriage or dates. But they cannot go on dates outside of the military base. They also work all the time and hardly message during the day but more at nighttime. It’s hard to build good communication/relationship when they’re always on the job and work is strict. So we both lose interest mid messages.

-construction workers: are usually bitter and newly divorced turned single fathers. Who have stated in their profile and messages; they’re looking for a hookup or a new mom for their kids. While they go to work.

-college guys: well, I don’t take them seriously for any relationship. Since they post provocative photos of partying with their buddies and girls drinking keg in the middle of the desert.

(I don't know, dating is hard now)

Interesting question. A few that would be an immediate turnoff. Some I’ve had experience with, others I’ve seen friends have experiences with. Nothing personal, just seen certain stereotypes play out and it’s not something I want to put myself at risk of:
1. Journalist/Commentator
2. Politician/Lobbyist
3. Influencer/Streamer/OnlyFans
4. Any sort of Activist
5. Stripper
6. Human Resources
7. Lawyer
8. College Professor
9. Military/Law Enforcement The latter I’m not completely opposed to, but cautious of.
