Typically in relationships with people that imply the i can do it, card when you want to help, tends to rub off on their partner to the point that, in situations they want to make sure you need help, given the number of times, they were given a hand to face, a leave me alone i got this, I'm not weak, or something akin to that.

He took the time and ask if you were ok, in his mind thats helping. In his mind you yelling at him is unjustified because he did ask if you wanted help. In your mind you feel its the fact that he didn't immediately come up to you and try to help you like that is why your upset. Both reactions are understandable, however yelling at each other won't get you anywhere. Both of you need to have a chat about each others mental states and how you react to things.
