Not exactly. I had this woman I knew from a long time ago contact me on Facebook and we were chatting so she said she wanted to come see me in a week. I purposely fixed up a bunch of stuff at my house so everything would be nice. I spent money on new clothes and prepared myself. Then she messaged me that she isn't coming and she doesn't really see us together.

Like WTF? She contacted me to begin with, meeting up was her idea, and she isn't even really my type anyway. What a bitch, I hope I never have to hear from her again.

Goshhh I can only imagine.. for me I think it was probably me ego now to realize, 🤷🏽‍♀️. Being this person has so much baggage and things I really don’t agree with. I think I just wanted the attention or was feeling desperate at the moment because I didn’t have physical contact for over 2 years

Yeah I can relate.
The only reason I was flirting with that woman is because she gave me attention and I hadn't been with anyone in a while either. I was putting my best foot forward for her and trying to make something out of nothing. When she cancelled, my first reaction was a sigh of relief. I didn't really want to be with her either, I was just lonely I guess. Then the anger from this her kinda rejecting me was annoying. I started to feel like "Who the hell does she think she is, she would be lucky to get me!"

I guess getting ghosted or rejected is still traumatic, even when it's a person we're not into.
It still hurts. I bet there are even some celebrities who read comments about them online and feel angry or hurt sometimes. It doesn't matter who said it, everybody is vulnerable to feeling rejected in a way.

Yes that is very true! It’s a horrible thing to feel and the hardest part is that we just have to accept it…. But eventually we move on. Sometimes when I’m having a bad day, I will think about it which makes my day a little worse. But that is my fault

I'm sorry to hear that.
I prefer to look at that experience I had as confirmation that I need to be true to myself. I have enough experience to know what type of women I'm most attracted to. I shouldn't be changing who I am, and putting myself in no win situations just because I was lonely at the time.
The biggest takeaway was that she changed her mind, and we were both relieved.
She pisses me off but then again, it was for the best, and now I'm free to find a woman who's my type, and hopefully have a very fulfilling experience.

Your like the best advice giver! I literally woke up early and checked this! I mean I did end up liking him just a little bit but he has many baggage. And yess I am not going to do it out of loneliness or boredom. Honestly I just realized and think friends with benefits isn’t for me and what I’m looking for 🤷🏽‍♀️ I was thinking about that last night. Acutally thinking I want more. But then I know the drama, anxiety, trust issues, that can come with a relationship. That’s why I opt for friends with benefits. but I don’t know. I think I’m taking a break for now. Lol

Yeah I'm torn about the concept of friends with benefits as well. I was married a long time, then had another very long relationship right after that. I'm an "All or nothing" kind of person. I'm accustomed to falling in love and getting very attached to my partners. For me there's no way that a friend with benefits would be enough. I'm a lover, and a husband at heart. I don't do well with the "Hit it and quit it" mentality. Sex is just a part of the whole experience of a relationship. I need her in every way.

I can’t agree with you anymore! Honestly I’m the same way. For some reason I get attached to people pretty quickly and I feel like I’m crazy sometimes or something. Honestly for me back then hit it and quit it like a one night stand was for me and I can do it not problem. I wouldn’t care. But now that I’m older, I don’t really want that. I want to be something to someone that genuinely cares for me. With this guy, we were talking for a couple months. I knew that’s all he wanted but he also would vent to me about stuff and always coming to me as a friend. So when we finally “hooked up” I thought i could handle it. But I guess not. That when I realized that is not what I am looking for. friends with benefits, but I didn’t even receive the “friends” part afterwards. I’ve been celibate for two years. I wish i just stayed that way. But I can’t take that back now. Also I realized with this guy we actually got along very well. But that doesn’t matter. I sometimes have an insecurity that maybe when I get mistreated it’s only me, and that other people get treated better by the person that I’m “dealing” with.
