Women want a guy that can provide for the nest. A man that is independently wealthy is an automatic get. Its a resume that "proves" you can handle supporting her and anyone else. A man living with his parents will no be attractive initially and will have an upward battle to convince her that he is partner material.
Nah. I married my husband without knowing how much he earned. I knew that I can earn my own money after I moved so it didn't matter as long as we can live a decent life.
Naw, that just an excuse men make when they don't have any other desirable traits to attract sexual partners. Its easier to make money than it is to be good person.
@Agagagagaga and he was a broke college student with no jobs and hundreds of thousands of dollars in student debt when we married. He just started making more than i did last year.
I don't think men make that excuse, it's more like if women have that power dynamic over a guys head then... It's not pretty.. Your guy had the ambition and you made an investment you highly figured would pay off..
@JDavid25 then I suggest keeping your eyes open around here... it happens all the time. My husband wasn't an investment, Id been after him since he was 16 and wanted to be a tattoo artist lol
I wasn't saying that women like men who make less money than them.. Just that, women biologically do make investments when they get with a men.. Anything that will make a good gene pool.. Whether it be looks, status, height, etc.. There was something about him even at 16 that you wanted to invest in..
Haha… how many would actually tell the truth? For me, he must have drive, ambition. When I met my hubby here six years ago. He was making just enough to pay his basic bills. we are in a whole diff place now that we are working together to build him up to his best potentials.
No. Money isn't everything. I make almost twice what my boyfriend makes. And with his career path I'll likely always out earn him. BUT he's ambitious and always eager to climb. Always pays his share and doesn't ask me omfor anything. Funny thing is, I'll be the one saying that I want to get something done or go shopping but that we should skip it till next paycheck or something and he'll be the one to tell me that I should do it anyway as I work hard for my $$$
Men are success objects. Women are beauty objects. The difference is that men can continuously make advancements in their business and career to increase their success. Women can do little to stop the onward decline in their beauty. After 30, women being to fade and lose their appeal as beauty objects.
I mean if online dating proves anything the majority of women are attracted to men who are equal or more then they do. not many women are likely to date/marry a man who makes half or less then they do. unless he can make up for it in other ways in the relationship.
I think it depends. If she is a cashier at Burger King she will likely be turned off by a guy who makes less money. If she is a heart surgeon or CEO it would not probably not be as important to her as it would otherwise eliminate a huge portion of the dating pool, though if he made significantly less it might matter.
I don't care if a man makes more than me. I do care if I am always paying for everything and they don't pay for at least half of the dates. I don't even care if they pick cheaper restaurants or activities. I just want to know that they don't think of me as a meal (activity, trip) ticket.
I've noticed a very slight difference, but it's not relevant enough for me to care. If I say I'm a senior programmer or that I'm a game developer (both are true), the responses are quite different, I partially suspect people don't know game devs easily make 6 figures.

While the women on here will disagree, most women date up. It's part of female hypergamy.. Why do you think most women divorce and leave if the man loses his job? Why do you think successful women can't find men? They effectively limit their dating pool. Statistically women want men who make more than them..
I've never dated a man who earns more than me. My earnings are decent and my earning potential is very high so if I was to find a guy who earns more than me I will need to be looking at <1% of men. I think men who earn a lot are more appealing to women who earn little because it's their ticket out of poverty. For myself, if I can get a millionaire who is older and not as nice vs a guy my age who is attractive and nice to me, what on earth would be my motive for getting someone richer when I can already afford all my own holidays, cars and homes? Look at very rich women , they usually date younger models and not old bolding millionaires.

Aren’t you married to a doctor?

Don't like**..
@JDavid25 I thought he was attractive and he had integrity, intelligence, as well as emotional maturity
Aw that's sweet.. Hey at the end of the day those things were still an investment..

I make more than double what my husband makes and I couldn’t care less.
Immediately and always. It's just that half of them will lie about it.
At least he's making money. I don't really mind if he's making less money than me. At least he has a job and isn't sitting on his ass all day.
I’ve made considerably less than girls I’ve dated, married etc
Never had a problem
I just think some use it as an excuse
Nope as long as they can live normally. I'm not a spender so I don't mind and I'll be making my own money.

No. As long as he’s not constantly sponging off me then I don’t mind.
I'm going to get into trouble, but I'll say it anyway: women imagine having a nest, so that a guy who has his own home is automatically attractive.
Money? No one really cares- or not enough to ask to see your tax return.
Absolutely. Women always shoot for a man that's better than them.

You're what we call the exception to the rule.
is a man turned off if a woman makes less money?
tf does money matter in real love? unless you're getting married for financial stability i dont see why it would make a difference
