Why do men only date hot women but then cry the blues when they turn out to be all selfish or gold diggers?

I just shake my head at this. I agree the same goes for most women too in dating hot men and them always being jerks.

Why can't men not take their pride down a notch and find a woman that's not a model but also is an all around good person instead?

Why are relationships based only on sex apeal when happiness is what everyone wants?

I have never been into only looks because I know most people who are really good looking are generally douchebags. So, I avoid them altogether.
I'm definitely no model myself, but I've never been called ugly either.

Actually, what I did when I was young was go for meh looking women after I ran into some nasty hot looking women. Then I found out that the so/so looking ones are even more bitchy/horrible than the hot ones except there's no upside. So I went back to 'hot'. Although by hot I mean 8+ on the 10 scale.

And men don't 'cry the blues' like women do. Typical guy will be over a bad relationship quick. A woman could be seriously mentally disabled for decades. Which is probably why (most) guys don't want women with high body counts while women don't really care about a man's body count.

Men take longer to get over a relationship? Ha! Let me guess, a poll of some college aged soy boys who have yet to even gain adult confidence (earned confidence not the manufactured sort women who wear lots of makeup have).

Anyhow psychologists say most of the people with mental disorders are women. This is scientific fact. So of course, as a heterosexual male, I attract messed up women. It's like saying a drinking glass attracts liquids. Well, yeah. Of course many of us men got good at spotting the symptoms of mental disorders and did our best to avoid the worse cases and find the mildest cases or ones with no issues. Meanwhile, women -- as has been true for eons - have to literally beg quality men to marry them as no quality man begs the woman. One solution women found to that problem was to claim that they are strong & independent so as to avoid being rejected for being unworthy of the ultimate serious relationship. And of course men have declined into lesser versions of themselves, along with women in Western Society. There's far fewer great catches across the board. Still, if you look at what women want from men, it's easy to find men with those things. If you look at what men want from women, it's very hard to find it today & I'm not talking about the physical looks.

And if you've been rejected by so many guys that you had to come in here complaining about men picking 'hot' women:
1. You're fugly on the inside. Work on your insides.
2. You're fugly on the outside and inside: Work on the inside & hit the gym/bike trail.

Life isn't as complicated as people think.

I never had that issue... the ~arguably~ hottest woman I've been with, also had significantly more assets than me... in no need at all to be "digging for money from anybody"

and all my other girlfriend were no exception, with their own jobs, businesses or careers

Women tend to look at the whole person, how they look are less important than who they are as a person.
If guys did that then they wouldn't have to end up with someone who looks nice, but is a horrible person to be with.
