Not necessarily. It's rumored that the bar of hypergamy has been raised so high that very few men can hope to achieve it so many find themselves going their separate ways.
Some might point to the fact that women are overtaking men on university enrollment as the reason for this bar raise. If it's true, then maybe hypergamous women need to be mindful that their dating pool will massively shrink if they get a degree and even smaller the higher they go, maybe then they might lower the standards or something.
Let's just put it this way. My financial situation has never been better in my life. Oddly enough I get approached by women exponentially more than I have in my life. And most of these women typically are single moms up to thier eyeballs in debt. Now I'm not saying hypergamy is a thing. But that's some pretty solid evidence. 🤣

Okay hypergamy that's a new word to me, so it sounds like some made up BS because people these days are really into labels and making up words that fit them. But since I am always looking to improve myself I looked it up.
hypergamy- the action of marrying or forming a sexual relationship with a person of a superior sociological or educational background.
I think hypergamy has made people more likely to want marriage, so as a man seeking action of marring with someone of superior sociological or educational back ground I would say yes. Because if they are making more than you then they will end up paying you alimony in the divorce.
But I did answer no, because I do not think men would want to seek out someone of less education or sociological value. I mean back in the day the answer would of been yes, but divorce laws make that a very risky proposition. Because if they have less education an earning power you will end up paying for it in divorce.
So maybe that is what you mean... I think I just confused myself... but yes its a factor as to why less men and women want marriage these days, but no I would say most men would be prone to want a women of higher education and sociological status.
No, hypergamy has always been with us. It was the sexual revolution’s encouragement of women to engage in casual sex that provided the opportunity for men to be less interested in exclusive relationships. Unfair alimony laws and declining economic prospects for men have an effect too.
No. Bu it has made men less willing to pursue women, since almost none of us stand a f*cking chance, nowadays.
I don't think so. Hypergamy has always been a thing. The thing that made men less interested in pursuing relationships was feeling like women didn't want/need them anymore.
Broke dudes out here still taking L's they have to get their money up lol also chick's should not date broke dudes it's a disaster and poverty for their kids.
