Considering how bad my height, most of the women I dated have been taller than me. Shortest two girls I dated were 5'10" and 5'11". But the rest of them were taller than me. Besides on GAG, I never met a single woman willing to happily date a short guy (< 6'), let alone date one shorter than her (5'7" and under).
Most women (and people) are extremely shallow like that. I get it. That's just one reason why I gave up dating entirely. Even if I wasn't too short, it's still an awful environment and the women on it nowadays are awful.

I've dated taller. And I'm 6'2. She was a beach volleyball player and is 6'5. She pretty much always dated shorter men. And if won't date someone because of what other might think, I sure as Hell don't deserve her.

+1 yWhy is height such a controversial thing for dating? Seriously, I don't understand the insecurity and issue associated with dating someone that's taller or shorter than you are.
I've liked guys that are my height (I'm around 5'6", 5'7") and guys shorter than I am. If the guy is my type and I'm attracted to him, it doesn't phase me!
I DO care if the guy is insecure in his height or makes it into a big deal.

Asker+1 ywell im only asking because I have a crush on this one guy. he hasn't approached me yet , he seems interested and im wondering if he hasn't approached me because of the height difference. I don't care. but maybe HE does. hence the question I asked.
I'm 5'8" in bare feet, nearly 6'0" in high heels, and I've dated guys as short as 5'5". It was never an issue for me, but 1 guy I dated who was about 5'6" didn't want me to wear high heels because "it showed him up". I didn't really get that, but it was his issue, not mine, I was perfectly OK with it. My boyfriend is a bit over 6'6", so that's a fairly big difference and doesn't bother either of us.

+1 yYes I would date them and not care at all about what someone else has to think or say. My relationship is about us and how we make each other feel. If he treats me well and we care about each other why should what someone else say matter and why would you not date them?

+1 yWhen i was in elementary and high school, the majority of guys i liked were same height or shorter. It probably wasn't until college that it was a must they be taller than me. I prefer 5’7-6’2. I’m 5’2 but the guys 5’6 and under honestly looked my height when standing next to them

+1 yThere's really nothing wrong with that. Love doesn't come in heights. I have a friend who got a boyfriend shorter than her and it's really clear to see, and now they are a married couple with two kids. There's really nothing wrong with it.
Although much to what I have said, Ironically, I would never date a guy shorter than me. It's just for me, that's one of my standards in choosing a man. To be taller10 Reply- 681 opinions shared on Dating topic.

I don't care about height much, as long as we can still dance well together.10 Reply 2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. I doubt it, even for people that claim they would. I don't know of any couple IRL where the woman is taller than the man and I have met hundreds of couples IRL.

+1 yYet another repeat question about height.
If it matters, it matters.
If it doesn't, then it doesn't.
Customarily, women desire men taller than themselves, while men prefer women of their own height or shorter.01 Reply
