Do you think he lost interest and should I text him (HELP!)?

I am a 21 (almost 22) year old female and the guy I'm talking to is 28. We met on Facebook Dating. I've gone on three dates with C and each one has lasted over 4+ hours. Each date has been great as we are comfortable with one another and can flirt and tease each other easily. He kissed me after the second date and we went on a third date only two days after. On the third date we ate food and went out dancing. We flirted, he held my hand, put his hand on my knee and around my waist (all good signals that he is interested)... we kissed during the date and when he dropped me off. Before I went inside my apartment he asked if he could see me the next day in which I told him no because I already had plans. He then asked if he could see me the following day after that in which I could also not see him. I left the date by saying that we will just have to text and figure out another day to meet and gave him a kiss. Everything seemed good or so I thought...

I got his phone number that night since we had only been messaging on the dating platform before. We texted for the following 3 days and flirted with each other, asked how each other's day was going, and made inside jokes about our dates. Then randomly in the middle of our flirting on the 3rd day, he just dips out of the conversation and doesn't respond after I made a comment about a new date idea based upon his interests that he had just stated in the previous text. He has his read receipts on, so I saw he opened the message the date after I sent it, but he has still not responded and it's been 3 days... What do you think has happened? Did he suddenly lose interest and should I text to find out or should I just remain radio silent like he is?
