Is it possible to like/love two guys at once?

I'm in my last year of HS and was dating my boyfriend for 5 months. He broke things off because I've lied about several things and pretended to be wealthy. I gave up trying to win him back and figured I was done already; he wasn't going to ever take me back. Lets called him Ruben.

Someone I didn't like too much actually helped me while I was down and undergoing other issues. We were actually archenemies but actually liked each other by now. We have much in common. Lets called him Mark.

Then nearly 2 months after the break-up, Ruben suddenly wants to try working it out again. He's willing to give me a 2nd chance but seemed shocked that I have moved on so fast. He's giving me a week to choose between him or Mark. I should be happy but I'm actually undecided by now. I'm confused and still haven't chosen which to go with. I like/love both Ruben and Mark. Is this possible, to love two people at once?

So basically I was practically begging for that 2nd chance before and when it was finally given, I don't know who to choose. I fell for both. I like/love both of them.

It is okay to have feelings for two people but not be intimate with either. Try to be straightforward and truthful both to yourself and the guys. I hoped you learned what lying got you into...

Ruben was actually surprised I could moved on so fast. He kept asking ''what about all the begging, you asked for a second chance, I'm forgiving you and now you're with another guy, what's up with that''. I told him while I'm glad he forgave me for the lies, I'm a bit confused now and need time to think. He said I have a week to choose and by then he's moving on again.

I just didn't think he would forgive me and well this caught me off guard. And well Mark, he's been helping me during the break-up and when I was undergoing issues. He said if I decide to go back to Ruben, he's moving on. Tough decision.

What a simultaneously great and horrible position to be in. Sounds like your heart is with Ruben. Can’t have both in your life when a decision is made…relationship will never work if still connected to both….🤷🏻‍♂️

I think I'm going for Mark. We have so much in common and I'm liking him more as the days goes by. He reminds me of myself too. He used lied to a girl too (that girl was my one of my friend's sister) and learned the hard way. We were archenemies at first but not anymore lol.
Yes I still love Ruben but I'm going for Mark.

Very possible.. also u fell for mark after u broke up w ruben, not while u both were together, and ruben came back 2 months later to u which is mark was there to support u.. this is not wrong..

True. Ruben expressed his disappointment that I chose Mark over him and said ''I guess I should've never forgiven you for the lies, so much for trying to give you a 2nd chance''. He had a sad expression.
The thing is I also have more things in common with Mark than with Ruben. I feel like I can finally be myself with Mark, and not act with too much precautious nor pretend to be someone I'm not. Mark knows me very well just like I know him well too.

Ok thanks. I can't decide which of the two I want at this moment. I like/love both of them but Ruben is giving me only a week to choose and then he's moving on again. Mark will move on too if I decide to go back to Ruben. Tough decision.

Rough spot to be in. That said, never let anyone give you ultimatums. Even if Ruben is a great guy, and ultimatum is a dick move. Not fair to you and you deserve better.

I'm going for Mark. I find that I have so much more in common with Mark than with Ruben. Yes I still love Ruben and I'm glad he has forgiven me but I'm going for Mark.
