I'm a very light skin Dominican and because I've had a lot of people think I'm other race, Italian being one of them.

Ironically I moved to a predominantly white part of my state when I was 13 and been living here since then, but even more ironic Italians are the majority here. throughout my school days and even after graduation I've had a lot of girls here drool over me but I never went with the flow or tried to showed mutual interest because I always thought I would deceive them ones I reveal to them that I am not one of them.

Race is NEVER a deal breaker for me even though I prefer white men. It is racist to "feel deceived ". My ex was half white and half Indian but he looked white and had light eyes. I was pleasantly surprised to know that he was Indian too! It never bothered me.
I've been told that I look Persian and I honestly don't take it as a compliment. I mean what is an Indian supposed to look like? All of the following are Indians :

When I was 21 I saw this woman at a house party and my first thought was that she was one of the prettiest Asian women I had ever seen in my life at that time. After we started dating and hanging out I learned that she was Metis (Half Cree Indian and half White french Canadian). It was fine, I still married her.

If it were me, I wouldn't have a problem with what race she was. But if she were to lie to me to say she was (hypothetically speaking) black and she turns out to be hispanic, I would not take to kindly to be deceived. If you lied to me about that then god knows what else you're lying to me about.

I don't think there really is a wrong answer for someone's race/ethnicity, and so it wouldn't be a deal breaker. The only thing race really effects is the national cuisine and thats not really set in stone anyway.
