How exactly is chivalry dead and how did girls kill it?

People always say that girls killed chivalry and it kinda confuses me. I feel like the girls that don’t want chivalry are a real minority and most girls love it. So how did we kill it? Cause I don’t understand how the blame can be solely put on us. Guys are also the ones who have chosen to quit being chivalrous even though there a plenty of girls out there who would appreciate it (those are probably the nice girls you should be going for anyway).

The thing is, I also always see this on the internet and not very often in real life at least where I’m from. Guys are normally very gentleman like towards me.

So how exactly is it dead?

Chivalry is dead because so many modern women would rather complain and bitch at men giving them compliments and politely flirting with them and misconstrue that as sexual harassment (only when an unattractive man does it, though) and "contributing to patriarchy", along with the MeToo sh*t (women falsely accusing men of sexual harassment and misconduct, often initiated by them, so they could get paid for their fake sob stories) and so many men have had enough of it.

So like most sh*tty things in society that involve women, modern feminism is to blame. And as other guys said, the obnoxious ones are the loudest about it, and the ones who like it, are very quiet and secretive of it, so men never hear any positivity towards chivalry, thus have stopped being chivalrous. And like I said before, the few women who DO appreciate it, are usually hypocritical about it and only want it when it's a "hot guy" doing it; otherwise, it's falsely labeled as "creep behavior."

2. The combination of qualities expected of an ideal knight, especially courage, honor, courtesy, justice, and a readiness to help the weak.

I do think a good man embodies the ideals of courage, honor, courtesy, justice, and a readiness to help the weak. I like that.

When it comes to male-female relations, I'll just say that I love the manners that are associated with chivalry. I love the lady-gentleman game. And I love when a woman feels genuinely safe and secure when she is with me.

Aside from size and strength, I consider women to men's equals. They are perfectly capable. They don't 'need' a man to care for them. They 'want' a male partner for other reasons besides money.

That being said, it does no harm for a woman to flatter a man by allowing him to flatter her by treating her like a delicate flower or royaty on certain occasions. It's fun. At the same time, such a woman isn't going to be attracted to a man who is not a gentleman.

There are a lot of guys who weren't raised to be gentlemen and have no idea what that looks or feels like. There have always been low-class people in the world, though, so I don't know if crass behavior is more common today. Maybe it's just publicized more.

I can not tell you how many times I have held a door for a women and she has not said thank you or even made eye contact with me. You say hello to them and they look at you like your some type of creep. They walk around with ear buds in and pretend that you do not exist. I have been told by women that the walk around with ear buds even when they are not listening to anything just to persuade guys away from talking to them. You walk by them in the grocery aisle at the store and they will not even look at you. You try to help them lift some thing that you can obviously tell they are struggling with and they tell they got it and act insulted you tried to help them.

They want you to be a gentlemen, but that is not how a lady is supposed to act.

@DaveJord Yes! All these are things I've been saying for years. And these women have a shit ton of excuses for why they behave like this. The main one always being that some guy is trying to find a way to "talk to me." Women know very well that what they're doing is rude and stuck up, and know well that not all men are trying to go after them. But they program themselves to believe it out of both their own sick ego and because feminism has taught them to believe all men are predators.

But remember: these same women are the very ones who will entertain and welcome into their lives the men who are NOT kind, respectful, and selfless. And that tells you everything.

What they fail to realize the only men that really and truly will do that are the ones that are really just chasing after the one thing and will put up with their self-righteous attitudes as long as they get that one thing... then hit it and quit it. But men know that if they want to get a good woman then have to earn it and expect to have to put in some level of work... so the men tend to resent feminist because a lot of their mantras, put unrealistic expectations on men at the expense of men.

You're both right and wrong. When people talk about chivalry being dead they're referring to how you have women that take a man's gentlemanly etiquette for granted. But there are also many cases where men maintain this etiquette, and a lot of women take advantage of it, and think the guy is a soft pushover they can use any time they want. So enough guys who experienced being exploited for their gentlemanliness decided to give it up.

@Lliam Lots of women exploit men. If they see that a guy is "nice" or gentlemanly, they'll see if they can get something out of him, like money, free food, a ride home, or other favors. Or they think if they try to be sweet and charming to him that he'll be a softy that will just do things for her without her having to ask. This happens all the time. And unfortunately you do have men who are the "beta" types that allow themselves to be used by women, believing that she will like him or want to date him, and all she's doing is using him.

There is a small but loud minority of women who lose their gd minds if a man holds a door for them, or offers to help them. This coupled with the overt male bashing in almost all popular entertainment, news coverage, academia, public education, and the court system makes it unsafe to talk to women irl. Metoo made it even less safe to talk to women, mentor women professionally or academically, or have any kind of interaction without an immediately obvious business purpose and multiple witnesses. It is unsafe to meet women in a setting darker than football stadium floodlights with the aforementioned multiple witnesses for any kind of social or god forbid romantic purposes. It’s the pussy hat wearing, screaming out their vagina about Hillary losing man haters that are responsible for this. As I stated earlier, I realize that this is not all women, but since it’s not possible to know who is crazy by looking at them, it’s safer for most men who haven’t learned to spot the warning signs to just opt out.

Chivalry isn’t manners. It’s sexism top to bottom, front to back. Chivalry is men protecting women from the world and themselves, because they’re too weak and dumb to manage on their own. Women created feminism because they were capable of more than we, both men AND women, thought. Capable AND willing.
Now, you may like the manners part of chivalry. You might even like being protected from yourself and the world around you. But only a fool of a man will do all that for a woman who doesn’t do her part AS a woman. Chivalry thrived when women were passive and ladylike. If you’re not that, there’s no benefit to a man for being chivalrous. And, yes, there needs to be a benefit of sacrifice. Otherwise it’s just one person taking advantage of another.

I'd wager to say it has to do with promiscuity and feminism promoted within younger culture. Men no longer have an incentive to act chivalrous because there's no inherent reward in doing so. I remember holding the door open for a woman at the bank several years ago. She gave me a dirty look and said she's more than capable of opening a door herself as a woman. Masculinity is seen as toxic in the eyes of progressive feminism. To act chivalrous is a masculine trait. Chivalry still exists, but not as much as it once did. A bunch of shameless independent sluts don't exactly aspire men to act chivalrous. If men are acting chivalrous toward you, then that typically means you carry yourself as a respectable woman.

I think the problem why chilvary is dead because many guys don´t understand women and go for the wrong women as some women go for the wrong guys.
Because sure there are girls and there are good guys to date but many people have problems to find them. I think saying chilvary is dead are really saying they can´t find a nice girl to date.
Chilvary is a personal so I wouldn´t say it´s dead it´s just a minority phenomen guys only use when they know it´s appreciated since at least some guys have heard chilvary being talked down or rejected in some way or the other.
Since life is expensive and in many cases she makes more it might vanish some day in the future. But I wouldn´t say it´s dead alltogether.

Yes some girls are against it actively but y'all together killed it by the choices you make. When men far out earned women it makes sense for a man to pay on dates. When you earn as much or even more than men you date, it makes zero sense for the man to pay. Also when y'all didn't sleep around it makes sense for men to put a lot of effort into dating but when most women are engaging in casual sex men don't want to be the one who puts in a ton of effort hoping to be the man you pick when another man already just said hey baby and you had sex with him. Women used to have clearly defined roles. I'm not saying we need to go back before women had the vote. I'm for equality as much as the next guy. But when women started getting more aggressive you took the ball out of guys' hands. Listen to a lot of women on here. Not only do women sleep with a guy on the first date, many brag about it.
