Why do so many people participate in hookup culture instead of trying to find a partner?

So I’ve noticed that a majority of the people I talk to both males and females are always trying to hookup with eachother. This bothers me because I’m the type of person who wants to romanticize a relationship and try to get to know that person better. To me it seems like people don’t have any morals or good ethics anymore and that makes it harder to find someone who’s more interested in relationships than sex. I don’t know if that’s exactly why people hook up with eachother so it’d be nice to hear your views on that. Thanks!

It seems that our modern society has become much more superficial than ever before.

Personally, I blame the lack of morals, the lack of proper education about the importance of dignity and self-esteem but mainly, I blame the porn industry for brainwashing humans practically from the second they are able to operate a tablet, computer or the TV remote.

I also blame the internet for promoting that smut but mostly, I blame governments for not intervening and prohibiting that kind of visuals. Why would governments prohibit something that brings in money?

Our society is totally corrupt and it will only get worse with time. Soon, it will be tolerated to hook-up with minors because the porn industry has such a powerful lobby that it will be able to rule governments.

The world we live in is indeed a very sad world.

With modern technology at hand and social media platforms culture this generation sees ample options to choose from so they want to keep experimenting hoping to find someone that meets their expectations and standards. The term hook up itself is self explanatory meaning that they want to take the hook off whenever they notice a better option wherein the term lifepartner scares them because it denotes that they have to spend the rest of their lives with one person. Terms like soulmates pop up on the bed and is forgotten in the morning or some people might even find the term as non-existent with no meaning whatsoever.

Because women are sleeping around with any man who can make them smile. So what man wouldn't be interested? And secondly I don't date hoes so since women are doing that, there are none worth dating so why bother?

I think they were sold the Hollywood lie that sleeping around would make them happy or that multiple partners is better than one - its not a lie that people believe now but young people still buy into it.

A lot of it is mind control. They have been programmed through media, music, movies, friends (after they have been programmed) and subliminals.
