Guys, Single mums?

What do you find appealing about single mums? If you had a few dates then she revealed she had a child, would you continue to date her?

Probably not. Dating a lady w a child is challenging, not the types of challenges I want. First the kid comes first if they should but you’re always competing to spend time w her. Ex boyfriend who can be an asshole still coming around, making trouble. Trying to parent together, she may not like the way you parent. She may say don’t tell my kids what to do. Extra finances on your end if the father isn’t helping out financially. Harder to take trips, vacations, a lot revolves around that child. Mother argues w child’s father making shit miserable for you cause now she’s mad. There’s just way too much behind dating a single mom.

Sounds like you had an unfortunate experience there. Sorry if that's the case.
I will put it out there that I also believe it is nobody else but the parents to support their child financially. But yes there are some that may react in the way you describe, however I personally wouldn't be expecting a guy I date to step into a parent role, it would need to be a long term serious relationship for that to happen. Some guys, don't mind taking over another guys child. They likely have the money to. Other guys like me, not only can't stand children, but, also don't have that kind of money, and don't want to be expected to take care of them. That's why she needs to make sure she's ONLY getting child support for the actual father. I'm not responsible for HIS kid

Thanks for your perspective... i get it kids arn't for everyone. I will let you know that though unless the woman is a money hungry bitch, the majority of us don't expect men we date to take over the father role or to support them financially. I agree that the no one else is responsible for a child but the actual patents. Sadley a lot of guys, especially GEN Y some GEN X men have this impression of expectations.

100% I would. Look, I am of an age where I expect a lot of my dates to be single mums and it would not affect me in any way. A woman may so many reasons why she is a single mum, she should not be penalised for being the most important gift to a human aka a mother.

I'd have to say it's not a deal breaker for me at all. I've dated a few single mothers and if we are into each other that's the first step. They were all very upfront about having children so I appreciated them being forthcoming. I guess other than the physical or emotional attraction, it's that they had a child or children and they took that responsibility seriously.

I would be a bit hesitant. It would be a red flag if she expects me to act like their father from the beginning. Like she's not looking for someone to date but she's looking for a father to her kid (s).

Yeah I reading a lot of replys of men your age sharing this same concern. It's good to get that perspective brought to light. Most of us don't expect someone we're dating to step into a parent role. I wouldn't even introduce them to my kid unless we'd been dating for quite some time and was something that had long term potential. You see it a lot on dating profiles that low key indicates that they are more so looking for a father for their children. But in general I'm not against it. Since the only person my mother has ever called dad is not her biological dad. But he treats her exactly like his other biological child.

Yes I would
