I think the thing is that age diference often seems wrong. Like what do they see in each other or what do they have in common? And then it become socially unexpected for young people to be involved with an older person. Anything over five years it seems although 10 years is usually the limit t people give themselves now days. And it is just silly! I knew a couple that were 20 years different and lived happily together until he died in his 70s she now is remarried and just as happy. You really can do what we you want to do.
