I’m a 14 year old freshman and he’s a 17 year old junior. So about a month ago we both admitted to liking each other, but we both had SOs. I ended up breaking up with my boyfriend after he threatened to break up and waited for my reaction before saying it was a joke (he did this repeatedly after I told him to stop). I still like the junior guy and I think he still likes me, but he still has a girlfriend. Should I avoid him? Should we stay friends? Should I take a chance?

So update, we ended up not talking to each other. I didn't want physical and he wanted everything physical. I don't recommend dating older guys in hs

I think you should take a chance and ask him out. As long as he isn’t in a relationship and there is absolutely no sexual contact. Especially with the age difference. Then it’s fine. Long as your parents and his approve
