I never understood the meaning of being chased or chasing someone. Whenever I hear the world chase, the memory of me being chased by a dog when I was a kid starts coming back to me 🤣🤣🤣

But I'm assuming you guys mean to have someone ask you out, initiate messages and calls. In that case, I appreciate it when they actually let me know that they're interested in me and try to impress me so I would say yes because I get very shy and awkward if I like someone. I'd even say no once, lol. Once we start going out, I think both should make the efforts, so even guys feel wanted and special.

i like to differentiate between 'pursuing' and 'chasing'

the first part of the second paragraph you wrote there is pursuing to me and of course a good thing to do. you might also call that 'courting' too.

chasing is where, to me, when someone you're dating pulls away intentionally or not and the other person blows up their phone or asks em constantly 'yo where you at?' lol thats chasing to me. and i don't do that shite! :P

Ah! So, yeah.. Being pursued is nice. Being chased is not.

If I stop responding to his calls or messages intentionally and he starts blowing up my phone. I would get annoyed, lol. I don't do that unless there's something about him that really made me lose interest or something he did that really made me mad.

I wouldn’t say “chased”, but if I really like a guy, it’s nice to be pursued. But not necessary. I also can appreciate it when the guy is upfront about how he feels.
