yes with exceptions, because they can have other opportunities that would make them leave or you could be really horrible so they can leave out of abuse/unhappiness but it doesn't take away from the feelings sometimes

What if you agreed you weren’t compatible so then they left and said there’s no point talking.
Only for them to return like a whole year later..
