Can you help give me tips on knowing if a guy likes you?

I don’t have much dating experience but I just needed tips on if a guy likes you. Also if you and him are texting and said goodnight to each other. Do you let the guy text you first the next day? Or it doesn’t matter who texts first? Also I know guys have options and usually talk to more than one girl. But how do you know if your a top option?

Maybe this is bad on my end but I was talking to a guy and we have “mutal friends” on Facebook but I seen his like in this girls post. I’m not mad that he did like the post but I feel like I have to fight for a spot and I don’t like that feeling. (Yes I am young lol) but maybe it’s me being insecure but I just feel like I have to try harder or something. It also makes me think like hmm he must have his options open. But on my end I don’t text a lot of people. Or is it better to stop texting him and let things be?

Some people just like every picture they see their friends upload, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. But if he's talking to you, don't worry about trying any harder than you want to, he clearly likes you enough to speak to you, things should grow from there.

As for the first message, I usually leave it until either of us have something to say, and if by late in the day nothing has been said I will send a message and say I was busy and sorry for not messaging. A lie, but it tends to help get a bit of conversation going if it didn't happen naturally
