Nope. Dude, it's not. It's a mistake, every time. Don't try and play it cool.

Don't worry about seeming too eager. Don't do any calculating or scheming. Just trust your "native social instincts" to keep you from doing/saying anything too inappropriate; and otherwise, just be honest. Play it as cool as you actually are about it (that is to say... not very cool at all. Which is normal.)

Don't be afraid to show someone you're interested in them. I have been around the block. I give advice to people (women) on here all the time. Trust me, don't try and play it cool.

If she doesn't like you, she's not going to change her feelings and start to like you because you 'played it cool'.

If, on the other hand she does like you... playing it cool will actively work against you. You're telling a girl you're NOT as interested as you are. That never worked out in anybody's favor. I've seen it screw-over people in every situation I've seen someone try that.

Be yourself. Be honest in how you feel. That'll lead to being honest in how you actually come-off to this girl. That is the way to appear "at your best."

Be honest, and don't do any calculating/scheming with regards to playing it cool. People are rarely 'less cool' than when they like someone. And that's as it should be. All it does is send someone a signal that you aren't interested when you really are. Play that out in your head. It leads nowhere. Its very dumb. 🙂
