Is it a red flag if a man insists on you driving 35 mins out to see him instead on agreeing to meet halfway?

I met this guy off Tinder. He said he wanted to meet and I said yes. He wanted to go to this bar by his place in the rougher area of town to drink amd play bar games. He lives 35 mins away from me, and knows I'm a single mom who can't be out too late. I suggested some inexpensive but decent restaurants and bars that were between us so it'd be more fair.. especially for a first date. He refused, and insisted I drive out.

Yes, my friend, this is a red flag, I would never drive out there… Excuse my language, but he could put something in your drinks and take advantage that is one thing never leave your drinks alone or with any guy you meet also them people from the Internet can be dangerous.

Yep, you explained to him your situation and before even meeting you, he's ignoring it. Very bad sign to me. He can't compromise apparently and whatever the reason (stubborn, lazy, afraid of leaving his comfort zone), yes, red flag for sure.
