Sweetie things will be fine when you are 25 and they are 40. But things won't always be the same when you are 45 and they are 60. While you are still young in life still having sex, climbing mountains and riding motorcycles, you will find yourself married to a senior citizen who wants to go to bed early because he tires frequently and you have to take him to the doctor the next day. Not necessarily. But often it is. It really depends on how big of an age gap. The other thing, is the age of the people involved. For example, a 20 year old dating a 30 year old, is a bigger age gap than a 30 year old dating a 40 year old. The difference means less the older you get.

The biggest problems with it usually come down to "different phases of life" stuff.

If it's a youger girl and an older guy, there's an additional risk. An older guy will be able to swim circles around a younger girl, if he's the manipulating type. His ability to manipulate is just so much more sophisticated than her defenses are going to be able to cope with. A 20 year old girl has a chance of spotting a 20 year old shark. A 20 year old girl stands no chance against a 30 year old shark.

But I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with an age gap. It depends on the particular couple you're talking about.

Depends on how old you are. My girlfriend is 9 years younger than me. When I was 23 years old, that would have been a HUGE problem. Now I'm 68 years old and it is not an issue at all.

It’s not really a problem as long as both people are over 18 or the gap isn’t like 20 years or something.. I’m 24 and I have found guys younger than me as in 18-22 attractive and older guys as in 30-36 also attractive, I wouldn’t go beyond 36 or 37 though.. I don’t want to big of an age gap, and if I am going for a younger guy they have to be over 18, I’ll be 25 this year.

People say it’s not a problem if that person is LEGAL then go for it. I don’t think any parent would want their LEGAL daughter or son dating someone that is the same age at them, older or the same as their parents. Let’s say you’re I don't know 31 and your daughter/son who is now Legal comes home with someone your age or older how would that honestly make you feel? You wouldn’t care? Ooh here’s a great question how would the father of your kid feel about that? I know how I would feel about that if my child came home with someone the same age as me or older

I don't think so, but as always it depends.

Guys are best placed dating a girl 7-10 years younger (as long as they're legal). They're mature enough to lead her, and have themselves well established enough to support her. She brings youth and femininity to inspire him, and in her peak to have children (without having the baggage of an older woman). The only downside to age gaps (except for excessive ones over 20 years) is that one person may die significantly sooner.

We all try to make it work and say age is only a number if we're both legal we're good to go.
But in the long run yes age will become an issue for most couples. There are simply things you cannot do with a partner that is heavily your elder

That's a lie. All the Sahih Hadiths and Tafsirs including those testified by Aisha herself say that she was about 6 years old at marriage and 9 when he had sex with her. She was about 18 when he died and never remarried due to it being forbidden for her.

Other more accurate ahadīth say Aisha was 19 at her consummation. There is Quranism, a sect that trusts hadiths not. Many hadiths are false and were written way after the Prophet’s death. The Qur’ān says that it’s complete, and us Muslims reckon the Qur’ān is G-d’s words.
