Is it weird for a senior girl to date a sophomore guy?

Sooo basically I (the senior girl) met this guy at the beginning of the year because we sit in the same teachers classroom in the morning and I always just mess with him and tease him a lot. Well just recently I took him to prom literally just as friends but the more I hang out with him the more I like him and the more he likes me. When I took him to prom I didn't even think of him like that at first in fact to me he was literally 15 and I am 17 so thats weird as it is. Well come to find out he's actually 16 and turning 17 soon and that changed my whole view. Plus I am actually a young senior so I don't even turn 18 till my freshman year of college so were literally only a year apart. But what still get's me is the fact that he's a literal SOPHOMORE! So what should I even do in this situation? Would it be weird to date him? I will def get made fun of for this lol.

Not really, the first girl I was with was a senior who got held back a year while I was a freshman, she was 19, I was 14. If you reverse those ages, then I'm sure there would be people who would have issues with it, as long as it's the woman who's going for statutory though, no one will go after it.

It is out of the norm but not weird. I did the same thing in highschool and it was great. No one bothered us about it. Plus, we really didn't care what anyone else thought about us.
