Not at all. That's only a two year gap. It's common.

Every girlfriend I ever had, starting at age 16, was at least two years younger than me. I didn't realize it at the time. It wasn't deliberate. It just worked out that way.

If the sophmore has like a summer birthday and you have a winter or spring birthday, thats a 15 year old with an 18 year old. in my opinion, pretty weird.

When I was in high school it was fine. Seniors and freshmen was a bit weird though. I remember as a senior we were always commenting at how the freshmen were weird and looked like little kids.
