Age in high school is so insignificant. It might be uncommon for girls to date younger, but I don't think it's weird. If you two are happy together, then it's irrelevant what other people think.
Regarding those 'problems', just make sure you two have a good communication with each other so that nothing is out of the blue.
No people but your school mate might not be favorable for it, but if its just a date I don't think that it should concern you.
Its not weird but a little unusual - and people are generally not open to something that is not common. Rest is your life so no harm going for a date if it feels good time with him.
It's all up to you. Throughout my high school years, I've never been a fan of it because when you think about it a year as a teenager is a lot of time to grow and mature. The maturity gap is the only thing, but if he is mature or if you really like him, go for it.

No, not weird at all. When I was a Freshman in high school I dated a girl that was a Junior. We were together about 1-1/2 years. Then you naturally move on.
