Why would an extroverted woman still be single in her 40s and never married?

Genetic research shows that men tend to use one of two evolutionary strategies:

They either mate with lots of women that they don't commit to (cads), or they mate with a single women that they commit to (dads).

Cads have children with many different women, but the children may not do so well in life, because the father is absent. Dads have several children with one women, and invest much more in raising them and ensuring their success in life.

in my opinion, it is not easy to be a cad, most guys probably can't really pull it off. It requires being good with women and superficially charming, etc. These guys are often handsome and high-status bad boy types. Women are very sexually attracted to them, so these men can pick and choose.

The result is (unfortunately) that lots of women have their time wasted by chasing cads instead of the more boring and predictable cads. And down the line, that can mean being single and umarried in your 40s.

Just my long-winded pet theory.

If she is relatively attractive and in decent shape... because she chose to be. She chose her career, she chose travel, she chose casual relationships and if she tried to get married she was probably trying to get the bad boys, Chads and Tyrones to commit.

Let's say she was a 7... there were probably tons of 6 and 7 looks guys that would have gladly married her but she kept chasing the 9s and 10s. Maybe there was a 7 who made 70,000 a year (you always have to talk money with women... men can't care about a woman's past but she can care about his wallet), but she didn't want him, a good steady job wasn't good enough, she wanted the 9 guy who made 200,000 a year.

Usually they are single because they chose to be and prioritized other things at 18-25 and/or tried to chase men out of her league and to get bad boys to commit and settle down. Maybe not every case but the majority of them. If she is decent looking and even remotely nice she could have found a guy to marry.

Why would you assume it's easier for an extrovert to find a partner over an introvert?
While yes, extroverts are more outgoing, they still have standards- or I sure hope they do. Meaning you can be a social, outgoing person and still have issues dating.

Assuming she does want to marry in her 40s there could be a number of reasons why she hasn't
1. Men don't find her attractive or she doesn't meet their selection criteria
2. She doesn't find the men who are attracted to her, are attractive

Past 40 only about 15% of available men are willing to marry I have read. Of course it takes two to tango so you can twist that stat how you want. However you twist it though, it also means only 15% of 40s plus women will be proposed to and actually get married,

40s men can easily reach down a decade and maybe even two decades. If they go to Asian countries they most certainly can because of a different attitude to age. A 40's woman will struggle to get a 40s man.

Being an extroverted woman doesn't make an appealing mate to men. There might be a lot of things about her that are not only unappealing but are red flags.

At about 30 the power balance about equalizes between men and women. Before then young women have more power but after then men have more power.

The most likely explanation is the extroverted woman now in her 40s left it too long.

Men do not care the same way that women care when it’s comes to be extroverted vs. introverted when it comes to attraction.  Just like we don’t care that much about height.  Shy or not she would have come across opportunities to date, go steady and find a man who is willing to be serious. Unless she is intentionally staying invisible some guy will always notice.  You didn’t give any more details but it could be one or more of the following:  She intentionally stayed single because she wants her “freedom”.  She’s a feminist and has chip on her shoulder when it comes to men.  She has higher standards for the men she dates then she has for herself.  She had bad past experiences with men and she quickly judged other men for something they had nothing to do with.  She acts immature to feel “younger” or some nonsense.  Anyway I usually date younger but a few years ago I briefly dated a woman a year my senior (she’s divorced). She was very attractive for her age and she worked in a male dominated industry. So I was a but surprised she was single.  Anyway it’s a long story but she (subtlety) insulted me in front of my family during a holiday when she showed up on my doorstep. I was absolutely shocked by the audacity of she did and worse the fact she saw nothing wrong with when I confronted her later about it. I shunned that like a disease ASAP.  The problem is some people think it’s okay to mistreat other people for past hurts they received in the past. She subconsciously thought it was okay to mistreat me just because her ex husband was an abusive asshole. It’s her way of “evening the score” or some crap.  But men especially older men aren’t going to tolerate that crap. So instead of taking accountability these women just get bitter in general.

If between 20 and 40 she spent her time jumping from man to man racking up an astronomical body count and an equally astronomical ego, by 40 she's no longer a catch... consequences.

From my experience, a lot of people 40+ that are still unmarried- made it a choice to stay single. A lot of these people either didn't want to settle or simply didn't want marriage. Understand that not all women want marriage or children. The minority of them are "i haven't found the right guy"

Everybody has different life circumstances. Maybe she was engaged to somebody for a long time and broke up for some reason. Maybe she put her career as a priority. Maybe she had family members to care for. There could be lots of reasons. A friend dated a girl and she lacked a knowledge of the last 5 or 6 years. It turned out she used to be a nun.

40 is probably too old for someone to want to marry a women. Men typically want younger beautiful women w/ minimal baggage a 40 YRO woman is going to probably come w/ a lot. Women never understand when they're valued by men then they struggle accepting once they miss it.

It's usually either that they waited too long to find a good mate and then weren't able to attract one once they decided they wanted to, or they didn't understand what marriageable men want in a woman and/or were unwilling to embody those qualities.

This question implies being extroverted makes a woman valuable. In reality it is neither good nor bad, but it's not on the list of things good men are drawn to in a good woman.

There are a lot of things that are important to men when looking for a life partner, and it sure seems like most modern women are clueless about what those things are.
