There are many reasons to GET cosmetic surgery. Everyone doesn't turn out to look bizarre, like the featured photo. Most people aren't addicted to plastic surgery like Michael Jackson and Joan Rivers, who died during her final surgery...

There are people who get surgery to correct malformations on their bodies. Most people get it to continue to look their best. And most plastic surgery isn't drastic.

It should never look like anything more was done than you had a great vacation, and look well rested. You should look "improved." Not robotic, 20 years younger, skin so tight your face might explode through it, breasts so gigantic you'll be a porn star, lips so large, they're Goodyear Blimps.

But corrective surgery can uplift sagging eyelids, tighten a wattling neck, straighten a nose that is difficult to breathe through, ease the ravages of extreme sun damage.

When used carefully and judiciously, surgery can aid self-esteem, health and keep us looking and feeling our best.

If a person I liked used surgery for those reasons, I'd have no problem dating them.

My personal view is that 95% of people who got cosmetic surgery looked better before they got it. Cosmetics might make your features more standardized but they do not match the person's natural genetic make up and clashes with the rest of the face. I always thought a natural face was the best looking. Would not rule out a guy who got cosmetic surgery but it would detract from my interest in him.

Depends on how extreme it is. I got a hair transplant 3 years ago. Technically that is “plastic surgery” but it’s just my own DHT resistant (bad testosterone that causes male balding) hair follicles being implanted where I have hair loss.

However when people get unnatural additions to their body (silicon breast implants) that is NOT just rearranging something that was already there to look better. That’s bringing new furniture to the room not rearranging it

I personally have been and always will be turned off by breast implants if they were done for the sake of vanity (different story if she had breast cancer or something).

Depends. I am not big on cosmetic surgery or body augmentation unless it was to counter disfigurement, burns, etc.

Looking at this example here though, this dude tried to become Giga Chad and his lips shrunk.

No, I'd never date someone who was not comfortable in their own skin.. Which is is the kind of person most cosmetic surgery is used on..

Now if it was medically necessary, as in she was disfigured due to accident. Or correcting a birth defect like cleft palate or the like, I'm fine with it.

Yes i have. She had labia reduction surgery and boob reduction and lift. Her back doesn't hurt anymore and she's more comfortable being naked in front of anyone. Guy in pic looks like Vanilla Ice.

If it was minor to remove like a mole or something, but not to the point where I would go out with someone who had a lot of work done (e. g. the photo you provided).

I guess it depends on whether or not it completely changed her appearance. If it is really heavy then it turns me off so probably not. If it something small then maybe. Although none is better. I like a natural looking body on a woman including no tattoos. Anything that changes that is a turnoff to me.

Dated a rich girl in Highschool who in grade 10 got a nose & boob job at same time as sister & mom. She didn’t tell me at the time I assumed she ghosted me but her friends said no but not why. After two weeks she invited me over. They all looked like they’d been punched in the nose with massive boobs. It wasn’t that great because she claimed they hurt all the time even lightly bumping into her. With the nose job she looked totally different like a Michael Jackson thing I hated it.

I have dated several people that have had things done. As long as it isn’t anything too drastic, I don’t have any issues. In all cases they didn’t need to do it (in my opinion) but it made them feel better about themselves/improved personal confidence.
